(Gonna try a third person type of narrating this time)

Drail waved Reefer and Dotto goodbye. He noticed that he felt something new. Something akin to what he used to have two thousand years ago. A sense of... family? It was the exact feeling he felt whenever his master left to run an errand. Loneliness. That's what he was feeling. He felt lonely. A melancholic smile slowly formed, he sighed and took a nap.

Dotto and Reefer decided that they'll go one by one to the restaurant. In a one-minute interval. Dotto went in first, he had this peculiar smile glued on his face. His co-workers noticed it. Of course, Jenne and Stacy noticed it first.

"You're awfully happy this morning." Stacy said with curiosity. "Mind spilling the beans?"

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing." A little blush appeared on Dotto as he head to the back to do God knows what. Reefer came in next, with the exact same smile as the former. Stacy and Jenne looked at him suspiciously.

"Um, morning boss." Jenne said, clearly trying to process these events.

"Oh, mornin' let's do good today, 'kay?" He went to the back too. The two girls looked at each other and smirked.

"They're totally fucking." They both said in unison with a smug look on their faces. The day went on as usual, Dotto taking orders and serving food, the two girls cooking and gossiping, Reefer checking the stock while occasionally helping out on the former. After a day's work, Stacy and Jenne sneakily eavesdropped on Reefer and Dotto who were having a conversation.

"Look, I don't think you should uh... Tell other people. It's, er... Risky? The more people who know about it the worse" Dotto said as he grabbed a burger he asked Jenne to prepare for him.

"I know, but you know this is something I'd love to tell people. I'm a gossipy person!"

"Just, no. You know what'll happen. It'll spread, we invite people. They video him and post it on the internet, we're doomed if that happens!" Dotto sighed and lowered his voice.

"Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow then. Ciao" Dotto leaves, eager to go back home.

"Yeah... cya." Reefer accidentally bumps into the girls. "Ah, hello Jenne, Stacy. Was just about to go." Reefer's voice was halfhearted.

"Oh, uh yeah. Sure, bye boss!" Stacy said in a fake-enthusiastic voice as she dragged Jenne with her. Reefer was convinced and waved at the two as they left the restaurant.

Dotto arrives back home and locks the door, he was then greeted by a more... affectionate and clingy Drail. He seemed to follow Dotto more often than usual.

"Uh, Drail. You're acting weird. What's up?" Drail looked surprisingly flustered, looking left and right frantically.

"Nothing much... I just so happen to be very bored, that's all." Drail said with the hint that he has ulterior motives.

"Oooookay? Guess we can do something. What do you want to do?" Dotto liked the idea of spending time with the big wolf.

"I... haven't really thought about that." Drail thought for a minute, Dotto thought to himself that maybe Drail's more comfortable now and is starting to open up. Of course, he can't rush it.

"We could practice magic, or maybe make new glyphs or spells. No... that'd be boring, how about... oh! I can record every bit of magic I know into a book."

"That's... not something we can both do but if you want to, then sure. Go ahead." Dotto seemed disappointed, Drail can tell that he wanted to do an activity with him.

"Uh, I can do that later, you asked me what we will do. Well, how about we bathe together like the first time?" Dotto smiled, making Drail's tail wag the slightest.

"Yeah, sure. That sounds fun."
