Dire returned to his home. These past few days have been hard on him. Drail had been the only friend he's had.
"Where are you...?" Dire sat on his bed, shedding a few tears before washing his face and fixing his room. While sweeping the floor, he heard someone knock on the door. He put his chores aside and answered, there was a bobcat and a dog of some breed who he recognized.
"Oh! It's you, what brings you here?" Dire grew a bit suspicious, how did they know where he lived?
"Dire, right? I was wondering if you could come with us for a moment. We'd like to discuss something regarding the missing person you are trying to find." The bobcat said, gesturing Dire to come out, Dire thought that he can't really trust them but he's getting desperate. He misses Drail a lot.
"Oh, sure." Dire followed the two of them, still wary and keeping his distance but still following.
"Are you sure about this? This seems... Cruel." Del whispered to Chimera.
"Sometimes we have to be cruel. You don't have to tell him if you don't want to." Chimera whispered back. Dire tried to eavesdrop on their conversation but he was too far away. They went to the guild hub and sat down on one of the tables.
"Dire, this might be hard to swallow, but Drail is in another world. And-"
"He's dead!?" Dire started bawling. Others looked at us weirdly.
Chimera cleared his throat. "Erm, no. He's in another world. And we don't know where he is."
Dire sniffled and wiped a tear off of his eye. "How... How do you know that?"
"We're... Friends of Drail. And we're here to help you get him back." Del watched as Chimera slowly but surely manipulated the poor guy to get Drail.
"What should I do?" Dire said with a disturbingly determined yet familiar expression. It reminded Del of the Laie Clan. The clan was known to be the first clan that used the Concept of The Origin. They were known for their determination which was what allowed them to activate the Concept.
"Just follow our lead. We'll fill you in on your role later."
In the human world
Drail wanders around the house, clearly bored. Dotto notices this and sighs.
"Drail, what do you wanna do?" Dotto asked, gesturing Drail to sit with him.
"Hm... there's nothing to do. Are you adept in using magic?"
"N-no. No human in this world has magic." Drail looked a little shocked. He had never thought of a world so sad and stale. Drail went back to the lake he likes to bathe in. He took off all of his clothes and went in the water. He didn't like how cold it was.
"I need the Concept of Evolution... well, this is a close second." Drail got out and manipulated the earth and water, making a small tub of water he can relax in. He added two heat runes in specific holes he made which made steam emit from the tub. He sat in it and sighed satisfyingly.
"This is better...~" He stayed there for what seemed to be hours. He must've fallen asleep because when he opened his eyes, the sky was dark. No stars in the sky, he never noticed that. Do they not have stars in this world? He got up and looked around, fog seemed to envelop the lake, giving it an eerie feel.
"Drail! Where are you?" Drail hears Dotto calling out from somewhere. He also saw a blinding flash of light.
Dotto appeared to have been holding a flashlight and when he saw Drail, he ran up to him.
"Drail! Oh thank goodness, where have you be- I- Uh-" Dotto immediately looked away when he saw Drail exposed in a hot tub made out of rocks and dirt. "Uh, put... put some clothes on."
