Dan stumbled.

Tesa released his hand, casting him a worried look.

"I'm fine." He said, smiling.

"If you say so..."

They walked to Phil and Jace.

"So... You got beat up by Ivory, huh?" Tesa smirked, then laughed as Jace faked a grimace.

"Well, it's not my fault you never told me he was supposed to be fed in the f*cking water! Jerk," Jace scowled.

Dan glanced at Phil.

His hair was all ruffled, and his cheeks had a pinkish tint to them... and why am I thinking like this? Phil doesn't like me. Especially after he just saw me flipping faint! He thinks I'm a freak.

Phil looked at Dan, who quickly turned away.

"Hey Dan, are you feeling okay?" Phil asked timidly.

Tesa and Jace paused their conversation and exchanged a look.

What is it with looks today?

"Yeah, I'm fine," Dan answered.

Tesa coughed. "We told Phil a bit about your flashbacks, Dan, so he wasn't totally in the dark."

That was a bit of a shock. I shouldn't have been surprised, though. Maybe Phil was really worried! Wait. Gah, I've got to stop thinking like that!

"Um, okay."

Silence stretched.

"Well this is bloody awkward." Jace stated. "I think it's time that we all go home. And Tess," Dan saw her blush furiously, "you can fill Kyles in on today. Got it?" Everyone nodded their heads.

"Okay then. Follow the yellow brick road!" Tesa shouted, again grabbing Dan by the hand and dragging him behind her.

"Gods, she's such a nerd," Dan heard Jace whisper fondly.

Then he was pulled after Tesa and tried to keep up.

He didn't get the chance to see Phil gazing after him with a longing look in his eyes.
