"Okay," Tesa said, "let's go up stairs."
She silently sighed. Dan was so confused about his sexuality last year, having that crush on Jace and all, and now Phil... I think Phil will be really good for him.
They headed to Dan's room in silence, their feet making loud creaks on the stairs.
Dan went into his room, and gestured for Tess to follow.
"So." He said, plopping down on his bed.
"So? Gimme a little more than that, Dan," she said with a reassuring smile.
"Okay... But first I have to tell you about this kinda secret..."
Tesa laughed, her hair falling in her face. "I'm not going to judge you. Go ahead," He so likes Phil.
But to her surprise, Dan went over to his computer and started typing. When he was finished, he took a deep breath and turned the computer towards Tess.
It took her a moment to process what she was seeing.
"A-AmazingPhil? Is that really Phil? Our Phil? He has a YouTube channel? Wait..." Has Dan been watching Phil and not telling me? That little twink...
Dan watched her face carefully, ready to jump out of the way I f Tesa suddenly started attacking him.
"You've so been watching him without telling me."
Dan scratched his neck akwardly. "Well... Only for a few months..."
"Months? I always tell you if I find a good youtuber in a matter of days! He's good, right?"
"Yeah he is! And I was going to tell you, but..." His voice trailed off.
"I'll be the judge of that!"
Before he could move, Tess grabbed his computer and clicked play on a video. Dan attempted to grab the computer back, but gave up and settled next to her when Tesa held him off with one arm.
The video started with the usual: "Hey guys! So today I was..."
And before she knew it, it was over.
"Let's watch another! Omigosh he's actually good, look at the comments; they love him!"
"Yeah, okay," Dan said quietly.
She popped up another video, but this time spent it not watching Phil, but Dan.
Smiling... Still smiling. Doing some weird ass heart eye thing. Laughing... Wait he's looking at me crap I didn't laugh! Focus on video, watch Dan out of the corner of my eye. Wow, he really likes him. He mouthing the effing words. Cheeks are red, eyes still weird, adoring expression... Yeah he soo likes him.
"Why are you staring at me?"
Shit.
"Because I want to marry you, Dan. What do you think?" Tesa said sarcastically.
"I dunno," he mumbled.
She punched him lightly, but it really wasn't lightly, because he fell off the bed and on to the floor.
"Ow."
Tesa started cracking up. "Sorry," she said through tears.
Dan climbed back on the bed, rubbing his arm with a wounded expression on his face.Buzz buzz
"Dan is that your phone?"
"Yea-- oh that reminds me! Can you please help me with..." He suddenly broke off awkwardly.
"What?"
Dan coughed. "Um, texting Phil." He cringed. "Not like that! (Tesa was breaking into more hysterical laughter) Just... just read the conversation!"
She took his phone from him with shaky hands. "Okay," Tess managed, "let me-- ohmygod what did you send him."
"That's what I'm talking about! I was typing really fast and then... Typos."
"That's for sure--- he said what?! That is so suggestive, Dan. He has no idea how suggestive that is."
"I know!"
"But the answer is obvious, really."
"It is?"
God he has no idea how to flirt.
"You have no idea how to flirt." She deadpanned.
"That's why I'm asking you!"
"I seriously love you sometimes, ya know? Here."
Before Dan could move, Tesa typed a quick reply.
Dan's eyes widened. "Tess! Don't flirt for me!"
"Too late! Read it, I'm going back to more videos."Dan: I'll let you know; maybe you could come over and help me?
"You left a space?!?" He exclaimed.
She was silent.
"Tess?"
"Dan... Did Phil make a video about us?"
