"Hey guys!"

Dan watched his screen carefully. Phil was acting normal, accept that his hair was really windswept and his cheeks had a pink tint to them. He look so kissable.

Wait... kissable? Nope nope nopety nope nope a whole bag of nope. I mean... Do I like Phil? I've always liked Jace though... Gah! I'm just going to watch the video.

That didn't help in the slightest. Phil actually talked about him, Dan, in his video! He described the day he'd had, who he'd met, but nothing about Dan's flashback or Jace yelling. Dan couldn't help but smile. Though he did notice that Phil would say his name hesitantly, as if he was afraid of it. And then Phil would start to ramble, only to suddenly snap out of it and go back to talking about every one else.

Phil smiled. "See you guys later!"

Dan rewatched it. He studied Phil carefully each time he spoke. That also was no help. Dan was sure his cheeks were flaming red as he watched the blue-eyed boy talk. After the second time, Dan scrolled to the comments section.

It was completely blown up. People either said they were super jealous and wanted to be Phil's new friend, or.... wait...

Did I just see a... a ship name?!?!

There it was. A user had commented:

Okay, we need some ship names. This is the first time our Philly has ever talked about contact with humans, so it's pretty historical. I'm gonna make one for him and Dan first, since Phil kept blushing when he said Dan's name.

1. Phan (Dan and Phil)

2. Kil (Phil and Kylie)

3. Jail (Jace and Phil)

4. Til? (Tessa and Phil)

Several ship names. They didn't spell Tess's name right. And what was that about Phil blushing? Phil didn't. He just... crap. Maybe he did blush. It's not like it was cute or anything. My heart is beating at a very normal level. I'm not grinning like a fool. Right.

Dan scrolled through some more comments. He saw several more with the 'Phan' ship name. That sucked. Then Dan remembered that Phil read the comments. And that he'd see the ship name!

Sh*t. I'm not happy about this. Phil doesn't like me!

Dan slammed his computer off and threw himself to his bed, covering his head with a pillow. His heart was beating fast, he was blushing, grinning like a fool, and thinking about how utterly adorable Phil was.

So much for my 'I don't like Phil' plan. Dan rolled over, trying to fall asleep.On his dresser, his phone lit up silently with messages.

3 messages, to be exact.
