Where is everyone? Kylie thought.
They were supposed to have met here 20 minutes ago. She'd texted everyone the time, and the place.
And yet here she sat, alone, waiting.
This was stupid. I should have known that no one would come.
"Kylie? Is that you?"
Phil?
She snapped her head up. "Um, yeah! How are you?"
He slid into the seat next to her. "Great! Sorry I'm late. Where's everyone?"
Kylie sighed. "That's what I want to know. I mean, Jace normally skips these things, but Tess and Dan are pretty good about it."
Phil looked at her, concerned. "Well, I'm here now. Just the two of us can still have fun, right?" He smiled, his eyes lighting up.
What the fuck he is a precious angel.
"Yeah," Kylie smiled back, "I'd like that."
Buzz buzz
Kylie glanced down. "Sorry, that's my phone." She told Phil.
He made a 'answer it' gesture in reply.
Tess: oh my god kylie I'm so sorry Dan and I are here sorry its all his fault blame him
Kylie: you two are such good friends
Tess: yes we are
Kylie turned to Phil. "Tess and Dan are coming."
His eyes lit up at the mention of Dan's name.
"Oh yeah, that reminds me," Phil said aloud.
"Hm?"
Phil blushed. "Um, did er, Dan say anything about insisting I come? Or did you just say that?"
Kylie's eyes widened. "What? He practically begged me to ask you!"
"R-Really? He did?"
"You betcha. Hey, Phil, can I ask you something? About Dan?" I need to know if... Dan asked me to tell him...
"Yeah, sure thing."
Just got to get it over with. "Phil, Dan's gay."
