A/N: this chapter is basically the last one except that it's from Dan's POV.

Sound good?

Okay here we go!

•••

Dan looked down the hallway.

Empty.

No one was around.

He sighed and leaned against a locker, fliping open his phone.

After 10 minutes, Dan was starting to have doubts.

No one had come out of the office yet, and Dan was beginning to worry.

Did Kylie set him up for a prank? She wouldn't.

Right?

As these thoughts of doubt raced through Dan's mind, he heard someone say 'thank you!'.

Then a door closed.

Dan looked up.

His jaw dropped.

It... it was him!

Phil! A-amazingPhil was actually here! In his school!

Play it cool, play it cool!

Phil would probably freak out if Dan started fangirling all over him.

Phil was wearing a green checkered shirt, black skinny jeans, and faded dark blue shoes.

Typical Phil.

Of course I know what a typical Phil is, his mind sighed.

He looked good.

Suddendly, Phil started scanning the hallways.

Dan ducked his head, pretending to be fixated on his screen. Phil's gaze passed over Dan, but then paused.

Shitshitshitshit.

Phil looked at him.

At Dan.

Really looked at him.

Silence was heavy in the air.

Should I go intoduce myself? Dan pondered. No, I'll let him approach me first.

Then for a while, nothing happened.

Dan realized he had to make the first move.

He looked up.

And then those eyes.

The deep, ocean blue.

You could go swimming in those eyes.

They met Dan's brown ones.

Butterflies started to flutter in Dan's stomach.

No! He thought. Not again!

Dan shoved himself off the lockers, pushing those thoughts from his mind.

He walked over to Phil.

Closer.

And closer.

His heart started beating, faster, and faster.

Dan took a breath.

"Um, hi. You're Phil, right? Kylie sent me." Dan tried to give Phil a friendly smile.

"Yeah, that'd be me," Phil stammered, brushing a lock of hair from his face.

Gods, Dan thought, he's so awkwardly adorable.

"Cool." Dan said. Cool? Since when do I say that? Damn, he probably thinks I'm some freak nerd, he thought.

"Well, come along with me and I'll show you the school." Dan felt like facepalming himself, but continued, "If that's okay with you, I mean,"

I am a freak. Dan cringed.

But then Phil smiled.

"Sure, that'd be great!" He said.

Dan looked at him.

Blue eyes met brown.

Maybe he doesn't hate me, Dan thought quietly. Maybe he won't start going out with my best friend.

"Well, c'mon then," Dan said softly, shoving back memories. This was not the time. "There's a lot to see,"

He held his breath.

Would Phil reject his offer?

"Let's go." Phil said.

He sounded certain.
