The Kiss

Aang's POV

I woke up in the hospital, ugh this bed is awful. My grandpa told me one of my friends will pick me up and drive me home and bring me clothes. I am playing games on my phone and watching videos when I get a knock on my door

"Come on in" I say and Katara walks in "Oh hi you're the one picking me up" I smile a bit

"Yeah" She comes up and kisses my forehead and I blush"Get dressed I'll wait out side." She walks out

I take off my hospital gown and put on my pants but I can't put my shirt on "Hey Katara can you come in" She walks in and blushes when she sees me "Can you help me with my shirt" She nods and helps me put my shirt on with a bit of struggle

She leans in and kisses my cheek "There you go"

"Katara if your gonna play the long game this isn't it you're just kissing me when you have an opening" I say and she giggles and puts her hand on my cheek

'Yeah I know I just want to show you how much I like you" She starts to lean in and kiss me but I lean away and she frowns

"I told you I can't be with you right now maybe later on but Right now I want to focus on myself and become friends with you. May we can be more later on but kissing me all the time isn't gonna get me to like you" I say with a small smile

She nods and says "Ok I will respect that. Iroh says you can start to work as soon as your wounds heal in three weeks" I nod and she leans in and hugs me which I do hug her back. "Do you wanna go out and get lunch" I give her a look "As friends" she laughs and I nod

We get in her car and stop at a fast food place and Sokka walks in with Suki

"Oh hey guys what are you doing here" Sokka says

"I picked up Aang so were eating lunch" She smiles

"Hey Katara can I talk to you for a bit" Sokka says and they walk away

Katara's POV

We walk over to a corner away from Aang and Suki

"Yeah what's up" I smile at him but he is looking all serious

"Katara can you not try and hit on him this time remember last time" He says

"Me and Aang aren't out on a date were hanging out as friends, he made it clear he doesn't want to be with me right now but I can still be his friend" I tell my brother with a little frown

My brother hugs me "I hope you know he has always crushed on you and I know you like him but let him get to know the real you more, show him the Katara that I forgave for being a clout chaser"

I punch him in the arm "I wasn't that bad was I"

"Oh you were terrible" We both laugh "Alright lets get back to those too" Sokka say

We go to the table to see Aang and Suki doing a staring contest

"Um what are you guys doing" Sokka says

"Staring contest Im gonna win"Suki says as Aangs eyes water

"Shit" he says as he blinks we all laugh and he gets up

"Where are you going" I ask

"Loser gets the winner a milkshake, what flavor" He says to Suki

"Strawberry pleaseeeeee" She says and Aang goes and gets it and comes back "Thanks" She says with a smirk and drinks it
