It was an awful sight to see. Her father once so brave and noble now pale and torn apart. Kitty tried to remember to breathe as joffery made her look up at her father. She saw sandor out of the corner of her eye and remembered what he said. Don't let them see you cry. So she held her head up and forced the tears to stay put. She could cry later and mourn her father. But now she had to be brave.
"next will be your brothers head.' Joffery told her. Kitty stayed quiet. "You know what your sister said to that?'
'No your grace.'
'she said that your traitor brother might bring her my head! Mine can you believe that!?"
'No your grace. I'm sure you didn't mean it. She was prob-' but joffery nodded to ser merryn and he spun kitty around and slapped her hard across the face three times. She collapsed under the force. She stayed down unable to get up. Sandor took a step forward, reaching a hand down to help her up. The little cunt.
'your grace?' she questioned through a shaky voice, her lip bleeding from ser merryns armor.
'my mother always says it is not polite to hit a lady, he smiled back at ser merryn. So he does it for me... but you are not actually a lady are you? You are just a little kitty?' his grin was diabolical. Kitty didn't know what to say so she kept her mouth shut. She was just hit for something her sister had said, not even today but previously. This wasn't right, this wasn't fair, she was done sticking up for her family. They never did her any kindness, why should she take the hits for them? But she knew that if the time came she would indeed take the bullet for them. Even if they were the ones holding the gun.
Sandor pressed a handkerchief to her lip catching the blood, her eyes pleading with him but he remained silent, him trying to protect her now would only piss the king off more.
'take the cat back to her cage dog.' Joffery laughed as he left and sandor wrapped an arm around her, keeping her upright until she collapsed onto her bed.
Kitty avoided everyone for the next few days, the measter said her leg was doing well with the treatment but best to stay off of it for the time being but she was summoned to the throne room and she couldn't very well say no to that.
Kitty walked into the throne room only to see her sister at her knees crying. Once sansa saw kitty come in she pointed back at her and said
'she's the oldest, blame her I have done nothing wrong I have proven my loyalty to you over and over again. She has not.' Sansa spat and kitty was taken completely off guard.
Gun. Bullet. Kitty thought as she stepped forward.
Joffrey smirked at that he nodded and Sansa got up, she had a smile on her face now and the tears were gone. No longer the one about to get being beaten. Kitty walked forward hesitantly she didn't know what was going on.
'Your grace?' she questioned.
' on your knees!' he snapped and before kitty could think she was whipped in the back and she collapsed to her knees. With tears in her eyes she asked,
"what did I do? what did I do to deserve this?"
'Your brother is a traitor and he is causing quite the commotion.'
'You're grace-' kitty begin still not looking up her knee throbbing from where she hit the ground. 'I know nothing of my brothers plans I have been here.'
'But not for long,' joffery added then he had the most brilliant idea. 'She's far too overdressed.' Joffrey said with a wicked grin. 'ser merryn relieve the lady of her clothes.'
'What?' She finally looked up to see sandor fuming. He could snap a little pricks neck in a heartbeat and it would be worth it. Kitty looked at him confused. 'please your Grace I have done nothing wrong.' But that didn't stop his knight from coming and ripping at her clothes.
'I think she needs to be taught a lesson' Jeffrey said with a smile tapping at his leg. Ser merryn understood completely and beat at her leg until he heard a loud snap then he proceeded to whip her back. 'not the face I like her pretty... it is her one redeeming quailty' Joffery said wickedly. Sansa stood to the side with a small smile on her face pleased she was able to convince Joffrey not to take his anger out on her. But the look kitty gave her while she was on the ground was not what she expected it wasn't hate but sadness. The look in kittys eyes was sadness. Just then Tyrian came in.
'What is the meaning of this?' He demanded 'someone cover her up,' he snapped and Sandor was the first to come running down the steps in place is cloak over her she whispered thank you as she shook on the ground terrified. 'What is the meaning of this?' He said again.
'She is traitor blood and she needs to be punished.' Joffrey said simply.
'Yes Her brother and her father were traitors but she has been nothing but kind to you and might I add she does not deserve this.'
'She deserves much worse than this.' joffery retorted.
'My dear,' Tyrion questioned brushing the hair out of her face. She looked up at him but just barely. He opened his mouth to speak but seeing her broken bleeding body he had no words only anger. 'Can you walk?' Tyrion asked quietly in her ear and she lifted up her dress to reveal her snapped leg.
'I don't think so' she muttered pulling her dress back down. Tyrions eyes met sandors and immediately sandor scooped her up and carried her out.
'She has no control over what her family does!' Tyrion snapped as he followed them out. 'Bring her to my room.' Sandor hesitated. 'It is larger than hers, her room is the size of a closet and she needs proper rest and healing.' Sandor agreed and brought her to the little Lords room.
'thank you' she kept repeating over and over again into Sander chest as he walked cradling her close. He hated seeing her like this she was innocent in all of this yet the world picked on her and chose her as their target practice. It wasn't fair.
Once sandor placed her down on the bed he ran to get the master. Tyrion pulled up her dress and looked at the broken leg hanging limply from her knee her knee.
'I'm so sorry my dear that I did not get here sooner.'
'That's not your fault. It is Joffrey's he doesn't... he doesn't...' she stammered as The door swung open and the master walked in.
'I'm so sorry' he said, opening his case on the bed. he had gotten quiet used to patching up Katarina since her arrival at Kings Landing. She was the perfect patient, always sat still, took her drafts and cleaned out her wounds as instructed, she also always said thank you. It was a sight to see. 'let's see what I can do to fix you up yet again?' She nodded in the master asked her to remove her dress so he could see her back the whip marks better, 'they look rather deep.' He informed her gently touching them through her torn dress.
'I will wait in the hall my dear.' tyrion said and began to leave but she reached out of hand and stopped him.
'Please stay,' kitty said quietly and he nodded.
'Can you lay on your stomach?' The master asked and tyrion turned to give her privacy and she removed her gown pulling it down to her waist and laying on her stomach.
'OK' she whispered her head turned to face him and he grabbed her hand once again. He kissed the top of her head and gave a simple nod for the master to begin.
He removed her wooden leg and put the broken pieces on the ground at his feet. that was all she had left of jon and it was broken. She thought she would always have a piece of him but now... now she had nothing to remember him by. She let go of tyrions hand and reached for her leg. He picked it up and handed it to her as the master worked. She ran her fingers over the detailing one last time. She had survived so much only to be at a place her father thought was safe and still just as beaten and tormented as before. No that was a lie. Her family didn't beat her physically only verbally and emotionally. Joffery hurt her in every way possible but what hurt most was that sansa was the instigator in all this.
