Stargazing [Yeonjun x Reader]

XXIX: Showcase

The next day in school, which was a Monday, Eunha came running up to you if breathless excitement.

"Ye Seo!" She looked ridiculously happy.

"What happened? Soobin asked you out?" You joked.

Eunha nodded furiously.

"Wait... he asked you out?" You asked incredulously.

"That's one piece of good news, but there's another one that's key to explaining how Soobin asked me out." Eunha started.

"The school's holding an art showcase! So I saw the poster on the noticeboard, then I was going crazy and bumped into Soobin who was also looking at the poster, and he asked me out." Eunha explained in one breath.

"Good luck on your date then. About the art showcase..." You gestured for Eunha to elaborate.

"Performing arts clubs have to choose 5 representatives to go on stage and showcase their art, and visual art clubs have to hold an exhibition. It's starting next month and is for raising funds for an orphanage."

"Okay-"

"Anyway, I met Yeong Jae on the way here and discussed with him already. We agreed that me, him, you, Cha Se Ri and Hwang U Ju will perform individually."

"What? ME? Eunha, you know I'm shy-" You protested.

"That's why you should break out of your shell! We do individual performances every day, Ye Seo, it'll be fine!" Eunha grinned as cheery as ever.

"But what if-"

"No what-ifs on my watch. Practise, and it'll all work out somehow." Eunha patted your back and skipped away.

You sighed and walked away, your heart already anxious about the outcome of the performance.

"Have you guys heard of the art showcase fundraiser?" You asked TXT during break while you guys ate at the usual table.

"'Yep. Our president chose us and Eun Woo to participate." Taehyun smiled as he took a sip of his drink and started to wolf down his food.

"Eunha, me, Yeong Jae, Se Ri, and U Ju are participating." You absentmindedly poked at your food with your fork.

"What? Doesn't that mean we'll be doing rehearsals together?" Huening Kai asked.

"I guess." You smiled and started to eat, worry lines still etched upon your head.
