Stargazing [Yeonjun x Reader]

XXXI: Combined Session No.1

The fated day had arrived.

The day of combined session no. 1.

"This room is huge!" You breathed as you put down a box of equipment in a corner.

"I know right?" Yeonjun smiled when he saw you enter.

"Soobin!" Eunha shrieked as she ran over to Soobin, who gave her a big hug.

"Those two getting on fine eh?" Taehyun smiled as he watched the two embrace.

"WE NEED TO START! WHEN ARE WE STARTING???" Huening Kai was yelling to no one in particular as he spun around in the middle of the room.

"Where's Beomgyu?" You asked Yeonjun.

"There." Yeonjun pointed at Beomgyu, who was explaining to the uninterested Dance president why he was the perfect candidate to take over the president role.

"Big dreams. He's totally gonna succeed if he goes on like that." You remarked sarcastically.

"You're doing so much better now." Yeonjun wrapped an arm around your shoulder affectionately.

"Thanks-" You were cut off by a loud voice.

"Aight! That was a long enough wait! We're joined by Singing today, so be on your best behaviour! We'll start with TXT's dance!" The president of Dance looked quite ruffled after being tried by Beomgyu who was pretending to be a diligent helper to the president.

"We're up, see ya." Yeonjun winked as he left you and walked towards the centre of the room.

They performed the song "New Rules", and when they finished, they received loud applause from everyone in the room.

Whilst they were dancing, you could see Eunha swooning at Soobin, and when Yeonjun had a particularly nice move, you could feel yourself heating up too. During Taehyun was tossed around, you marvelled at his facial expressions.

"That's so cool!" You smiled as you passed Yeonjun and Taehyun towels to wipe their sweat.

"Why do they get special treatment?" Huening Kai asked.

"Because she can't survive without us." Yeonjun grinned as he wiped the sweat off his face.

Huening Kai pretended to have been stabbed in the heart while Taehyun laughed.

"Nice one!" Taehyun high-fived Yeonjun.

"Anyway, it's your turn now." Beomgyu walked up to you.

"You're singing Can't You See Me, right?" He asked.

"Yep." You gave him a weak smile.

"Good luck." Beomgyu patted you on the back as you walked towards the microphone stand set up for you.

"Thanks." You winked as you tested the microphone.

You took a deep breath and started to sing:

When you finished, you bowed to the applause and covered your red face as you shot for cover.

"That was so embarrassing!" You squealed as you plopped into Yeonjun's lap.

"It was fine, you did well." Yeonjun stroked your hair to comfort you.

"That was amazing, Ye Seo. When did you learn to sing like that?" Beomgyu asked.

"I don't know. Natural talent, I guess." You couldn't resist the chance to tease Beomgyu with 'natural talent'

Beomgyu and Yeonjun laughed at your joke while you grinned like a maniac.

Author's note:

This part is very long but in my defence, if you subtract the lyrics (342 words) from the total (749 words), you get 407 and that is the words that I wrote so it's actually not that long. And some people may ask me why I put the lyrics there it's actually because they look cool and I like them.
