Nervous. Nervous. Shit. No, I'm fine. Yeah I Am Fine.
Noooo.... I'm not fine.
I get off my bed, and walk myself to the washroom. Obviously I can't stop thinking about last night. I'm surprised how I've never felt like this before. It's just the way he treats me. It's sweet and effortless.
Not like he's pretending to be nice to me or something. I wish he's not pretending. I've had such people in my life before.
There was this guy who lived nearby, Nick. My mother was friends with his mom for a really long time. He used to come to play with me, it was fun. He taught me how to ride a bike. He was 2 years older than me. We used to go to school together.
Sometimes he'd hold my hand, so that I'd walk by the side of the road and not drift to the middle. Chloe used to join us sometimes while walking to school.
We were young so our parents would be with us. Mum was never very pleasant to Chloe's mother. So we'd go to school from different sides.
Nick always had this bracelet on his hand that I really liked. I used to touch it and play with it sometimes. He'd just look at me and smile. And then I'd look at him all mesmerized by his smile.
He had curly hair, beautiful eyes and a big wild smile. He had a little cut by the corner of his left eyebrow.
It was a movie night at my house Chloe and I were in 4th grade and he was in 6th. Chloe was invited too. We were watching 'Inside out'. It was the scene where the family land was falling apart inside the girl's mind. I might have started sobbing a little.
Nick was just by my side so I held his hand. He looks at me and says "Eva." he sighed. "Come on, stop doing that. It's not that emotional. Also it's a movie, with a bunch of not-so-real people."
I just kept looking at him, he had never talked to me like that before. I was starting to think that he might be joking or something and that he'd just burst into laughter after seeing me nervous. He always does that.
But he didn't, instead he continued, "you know, if you keep doing these things you won't be able to make friends. It's a good thing that our moms are friends with each other, or I wouldn't have been here watching these stupid films with you."
"Then why don't you leave." there, someone I'd always count on "maybe you didn't hear me with your tiny ears. If you don't like these films why did you come then?" said Chloe
"Cause my mom asked me to. You think I'd come here on my own, my friends would laugh at me if they heard that I was watching inside out with two little girls, one of which is a cry baby." That's where, maybe that's where I lost the ability to make friends with guys.
Leo was kind enough to be my friend and I love him for that.
Chloe gave Nick a mouthful that night, I didn't tell my mum about anything that Nick told me. Chloe was obviously pissed off because of that, she never likes to be dominated. Neither do I, but I'm fine with not causing any trouble.
Nick left, and never came back to my place, we used to walk to school together but didn't talk that much. He used to strike some random conversation, so that our parents wouldn't know about anything.
And I was never a fan of making a scene out of something. So I behaved normally. But I used to miss what we had, maybe I even liked liked him. I even tried to give a let's-forget-everthing-that-happened smile, it never mattered though.
Anyho, I hope everything Liam shows is real. Not that I can do something if it's not but Chloe will definitely kick his ass. I don't want his ass kicked, I like him.
