We leave the hospital, Chloe has a huge smile on her face that won't go away. She's holding Jasper's hand and her head is on his shoulder. I can tell that she wished for this day to come. I know she's nervous.

The smile on her face comes and goes, as we approach Jasper's place to drop him. We're in Chloe's car, Liam is sitting in the passenger's seat. Leo's driving. Austin stayed back to fil out the documents in the hospital.

There's a shit load of forms still left to be filled out. Dan took a rain check, because he has work. I wonder if having a brother who's this busy is disappointing. He cares about Jasper, no doubt, but he's not very rational.

That's probably because he didn't get the proper parental supervision in his childhood. He's impulsive, sentimental though, but immature, and maybe misunderstood. The car comes to a stop. I look outside the window and we've reached Jasper's place.

Liam comes around to open Jasper's door and carefully holds him, he's physically fine now, but still very weak. Chloe jumps out of the car as well, and takes out all of Jasper's belongings.

I get out of the car as well, and open all the gates and doors. Leo parks the car in the garage as the sky seems to be threatening. It's gonna rain for sure. As soon as we reach his bed room, Chloe, brings out all the meds and organizes them on the bed-side table.

Meanwhile Austin called Liam to ask a few things to Jasper, before signing the forms. He wasn't sure of the details. Jasper, Liam and Austin kept talking on the phone, while Chloe sorted his meds for the day.

"Evelyn, could you maybe bring me a bottle of water?"

"Yeah, sure." I walk out of the room towards the kitchen to get a bottle of water. The house is not too big but not very small either. The kitchen's clean and it's quite big. I see a bunch of pictures on the fridge door. Small jasper, small Dan, a happy family.

It's weird how families, such strong connections, so many emotions just fade away, that easily. I know Jasper's father had a heart attack, and died a few months later. Jasper and Dan have been struggling to make a living since then.

I can tell Dan does everything that is possible for him, to earn a handsome amount of money. I take the water bottle from the fridge that is mildly cold, seems like it wasn't inside for long. I take it to Chloe. "You guys wanna eat something. I saw some Ramen in the fridge, I can make it."

"Yeah... would be awesome. Jasper? You wanna have soup?" asks Chloe

"Do we have eggs?"

"Yeah, I guess I saw some." I run over to the kitchen when I hear the front door open. I ignore it and go to the kitchen to start making something tasty. I like cooking stuff occasionally. After all the needed ingredients are on the kitchen slab.

I look around for chili flakes, in the cupboards behind the shelfs, ah, maybe it's in the fridge. Right. I take it out and close the fridge door. When my sight falls on a picture, a picture of Jasper and Dan with their father, on the couch.

Jasper's really small, he's on Dan's lap and Dan's looking at his father, he's laughing really hard. The smile on Dan's face to see his father laugh like that is just priceless. "Those were some good days you know" a deep yet calm voice comes from behind.

I turn around to find Dan leaning on the door frame. He isn't looking at me, his eyes are fixed on the picture. "I bet they were" his eyes are calm, like he still clearly remembers every second of that day. "I thought you had work"
