The past few days were awful. Chloe has been ignoring me the entire time, no matter how hard I try to talk to her, she walks away. Jasper is not yet back from his swimming tournament. So apparently there is no way that I can talk to Chloe and clear things up.

To my surprise Hazel has not been coming to school as well. I have tried calling her but she won't pick it up. The only thing that has kept me sane from all this drama is Liam.

Speaking of him. It's his big game today. And I love watching him play. He's always so gentle with me, I like it when he's fierce and being all wet in sweat, looking hot as hell!

I get dressed up for school and go downstairs to grab my breakfast. Mum has been very very busy preparing for the fundraiser. Also we had a big argument after I heard what she said to Chloe, I've told her before that I was helping Jasper get back with Chloe.

And I finally started to think that she was going to let me handle my relationships with people on my own. But I was clearly wrong, she'd never stop controlling my life. Since then we've not been talking much.

I grab my lunch and leave.

I walk past Chloe's house wondering how long was it gonna take for Chloe to understand that I never meant to hurt her.

Poor Leo is jumping back and forth spending time with me with Chloe. It's like, the exact thing happened that Leo didn't want to. He was afraid of choosing between me and Chloe and apparently he cannot do that so he has just been going back and forth being a friend to both of us. I am happy that he is in a good place with Austin. Austin's a really sweet guy, the last day he bought all of us ice creams.

I keep my bag in the locker as I see all the students going to the football field. I was about to leave the hallway, when I hear my name being called "Evelyn, could you please come here for a minute?" I turn back. It was Mr. Hyde. Why's he be calling me now?

I walk towards the staff room in a hurry. I don't wanna miss the grand entry of our team. "Sir?" I asked for permission to come in.

"There you are, my star kid. You've not failed to impress me with your depth in the subject. All your answers were very precise and very well written." He told me a bunch of other stuff about the test. This time it sounded much more genuine. Maybe we got the wrong impression in the beginning.

"Thank you sir" I accept all his compliments as I know how hard I prepared for the exam.

"All though, I am concerned about this other student in your class. Leo Porter. I guess he's a friend of yours. I have noticed you two talk a lot."

"Yeah... we are good friends, what about him?"

"Well you know his scores are not that fruitful, I'd say. I don't know much about any student here, but you'd know if he was having any trouble understanding or something." Hyde's words made me concerned as well.

And I think I know the reason why Leo's not doing great academically. It's because of the whole situation with me and Chloe. Poor Leo is trying to be there for both of us. Especially Chloe. I still have Liam. "Could you ask him to come by the staff room after the game? I wanted to talk to him."

"Yeah, sure... I'll do that." Mr. Hyde nods with a smile.

I make my way out of the staff room. Mr. Hyde locks the room and goes the other way. I walk in the empty hallway, to reach the field. When I find Liam walking in a hurry towards the staff room.

"Hey! I was looking for you." He was wearing his jersey and the football pants but without the guards and shoulder pads. Looking so fine, as always.

Apart from the words he just said, his eyes were filled with concern, he was panting a little, portraying how desperate he was to find me. His words make me smile unknowingly. "You were?"
