Somewhere remote in the vast Australian Outback laid a stretched-out highway, there were barely any vehicles passing through, it was mostly deemed a ghost road. The night was as dark as midnight, the dormant fauna wouldn't make any alarming sounds, and the dust soared past the edges of the cracked pavement. But inside all this dullness some action was currently taking place, a heavily fortified jeep not containing license plates or labels of any kind. The enormous vehicle used headlights to guide them through the eternal darkness of the desert, the back of the truck was big enough to transport an elephant, as it seemed to be meant to carry big animals in its container.

The jeep would soon get off the tracks and head to a dirt path using its thick tires to bear the stiffness of the waste. Not far from their location, a narrow cave supported by orange-like boulders served as a burrow for a creature larger than an average Rhinoceros, with eyes red and quills spiking out of its neck once it comes into the light, it's fully built will be the reason of your nightmares. The create walks into the light provided by the moon, it's a dinosaur, but not mother natures creation, it had spines sprouting out of its elbows and vibrant feathers covering its back to the tip of its tail, it climbed to the top of the cave and emitted an agonizing shriek before going on a hunt for food.

Back at the vehicle, it would finally stop by a single tree in the middle of the lifeless desert. A group of at least five people hopped out of the truck, with one being responsible for the entire operation, the leading man would speak, "Listen up team, this creature is nothing like what we've seen before, it's a thoroughbred. A mix between a Herrarosaurus and an Achillobator, it gets worse, the DNA used to fill gaps include, Lion Fish, Lyrebirds, and Agile Frog."

"Could be worse." The youngest and most naive of them all murmured under his breath, trying to be positive while also being rarely stupid.

The second in command gave him a menacing look, intending to do so, "Are you aware that both these species are carnivores, lionfishes are venomous, lyrebirds mimic sounds and agile frog gives the name for the ability, and you know what's worst of all? all of these in one."

The recruit gulped in fear while also showing an awful lot of respect to his superiors. The headman bobbed his head, signaling to follow his lead. They weren't aware that the hybrid had more surprises under its sleeve and had night vision as it was a nocturnal creature while also being able to scent their smell from miles away. The mercenaries used flashlights from their snipers to guide them around while also having no clue where they were supposed to find the target.

Just before anything happened the second in command comes across something alarming, she flinches at first, thinking it could be something living, but for her luck, it was a corpse. She kicked the defunct saying underwhelmingly, "It's just a dead Kangaroo"

The recruit bowed down to check on it, "It has scratches and a bite mark on its neck."

"That's larger than an average Dingo bite." The commander stated, "The creature was here before, we must be close, stay put."

The group continued to head toward the creature's inhabitation, which meant they had a large chance of being either attacked or even worse, devoured by its powerful and energetic jaws. The dinosaur would slowly manifest itself by sneakily running past them in a glamourous fashion. As for the lead mercenary, he aimed his gun at the whooshing sounds it would make when passing, "Heads up!"

The creature began to perform a howl similar to a Dingo's, in order to confuse the group, but they were past that technique so it took advantage of one of the members by giving them a warning. The creature stood at 15 feet opening its wide jaws it charged at the members crushing their bones from the inside out, the other members show at it, scaring it away for a few seconds.

The fourth member confessed while also not believing their current situation, "It is terrifying."

"Go after it." The co-leader led the way while recharging her sniper.

The remaining mercenaries followed the footprints it left on the sand until they were gone as the wind was stronger as they got into a higher landscape. Not only did it trick them into a trap but it also took advantage of the high ground, just like that another one was gone, this time the leader of the operation was the victim. The hybrid jumped on his back, crushing his spine just before it snapped his neck and devoured his head.

As a way of showing remorse, the remaining mercenaries shot at it with all the anger they had deposited inside their bodies to avenge his hurtful death. The creature was holding out strong but it wouldn't last much longer either so as a last way of defense, it used one of its venomous spines to attack the co-leader, she yelped in pain. The creature finally gave itself out and collapsed onto the floor, the remaining survivors called out the van to leave the place before anything else bad happened.

With the help of a crane, the sedated hybrid was lifted into the cargo container, with highly secured locks keeping it away from the outside world. The co-leader wiped her forehead, relived about their eventful success, but strangely she began to feel nauseous and she couldn't really move her arms, and then her legs too. The venom was effective, following the encounter, the three surviving humans took the hybrid back to where it belonged and got rewarded for their mission, even if it went terribly.
