It had now been a few hours after the fiasco in the Walls of Dubrovnik. The unleashed animals had been all captured and returned to their owners, including the beast that caused the havoc. Katerina, Everett, and Natalie have driven out of town to avoid authorities and even worse the Geneticorp officers. With Katterinas completely intact, Everett with a strained muscle on his forearm, and Natalie temporarily blind by the hybrids venom, it was clear that now they were much more unprotected than they could have been, however, Katerina allegedly warned them about the safe place they were heading to, luckily the lasts for long.

The sun had already raised and it was at least ten in the morning as they had left the busy area of the city, even now finally arriving at their final destination. It appeared to be a warehouse on a secretive cove by the sea, Katerina parks the truck drives inside, and locks every door, relieved she tells them, "This belongs to a friend, he told me I could use it whenever I needed, ditto what he said."

Everett carefully helps Natalie come out from the vehicle and sits her on a chair by the water, he begins to wipe the foam out of her lips as she spoke, "You know, this time feels different for some reason."

"Why do you say that." Everett questions while he ripped a piece of bandage and wrapped it around his arm, "It's always the same."

"This time isn't." She expressed with her eyebrows as her eyes remained emotionless and her head completely still, "For some reason, it feels like there's something to redeem."

"Redeem?" Everett curiously added, "If you say so."

She then cupped her face with her hands, but as she lifted she was tearing up, "I just have the feeling someone won't make it this time."

"No, don't say that." Everett proceeded to place his chair in front of hers, he picked up her hands softly, "We have each other, the girls have each other, and no one is alone."

Natalie breathed in soothing herself down, mouthing the words "Thank You."

Katerina popped a can of soda open and sat by the water, "These people are evil, I never should've gotten into the business."

"Why did you?" Everett wondered, "Why are you still helping us, this is extending the deal."

"I know who you two are." Katerina sighed as she could finally talk about what she knew in privacy, "You are Dr. Everett Carter and Dr. Natalie Young, two Paleontologists of the modern age, trying to make their way in a world where dinosaurs are living and breathing, I've read your blogs you know, before the two of you departed."

"Someone actually read them." Natalie chuckled, failing to loom at Everett as she looked the opposite way Everett lets out a soft laugh trying to make it subtle, Natalie is confused by his mannerisms and asked, "What's so funny?"

"Anyways." Katerine bluntly interrupted their detour from her explanation, "I knew you two were on the ship and why you were on the ship, I was just a passenger waiting to receive my money for doing my job, but those people were going to betray me behind my back, I eavesdropped their conversations they simply needed me to drive the hybrid to safety while the team would take care of the rest. So I only thought the least I could do was help you get out as it would not have been fair." She finished throwing the soda can into a trash bin behind.

"Is that all true?" Natalie wondered, now adapting her technique to listening instead of assuming.

"Yes." She reassured, "But there is something else you should know, why they needed you to come."

Everett looked at her confused, "What is that?"

Before Katerina had the time to explain she spots a laser target in Everetts's head, by instinct she picks up a knife and launches it at whoever was aiming the gun. The wielder is stabbed and falls to the floor, "They found us."

Katerina helped Natalie up along with Everett as they sprinted down to the opposite side of the warehouse, turns out they were surrounded by the Geneticorp agents, with nowhere to go. Helicopters began to light up the building flying around while exposing the three escapees, "Stop now before we are forced to show you, we are aware that you're not in your best condition, so surrender or perish."

Hesitantly Katerina attempts to reach for her sniper but an officer hits her in the gut, Everett holds Natalie as they both worriedly yelp, "NO."

With no other choice, they are taken by the agents into a ferry that will take them from one country to another across the Adriatic sea. Now quite literally it is obvious that all the stories will eventually align into a single one.
