The doors shut behind them as they now entered the facility, the snowstorm behind was entirely blocked by the thick glass doors. The two guards were highly equipped with warm clothes different from what they had seen before, once again the pattern wasn't that much different blue neon lights, gray tiles, and purple stripes. However, the staff was limited and the size of the facility appeared to be much smaller in size than any others, showing the effects the incidents had on his company and how it didn't fall yet. The laboratories were not as full, much less useless rooms that only mattered for preparation are all gone.
Missy and Alice are escorted into an empty meeting room, which made them feel slightly better than they did last time as now to their relief it didn't appear they weren't needed for such a long time. The guards both left the quarter standing outside, confused as to why the form was empty, the girls simply accommodated themselves and took a glasses of water from the table, and a few of the appetizers being offered. It had been hours since they had last eaten something, even if they were used to starving for a very long time period.
Now the doors opposite the front doors opened and a quite familiar face walked down from it, the people accompanying him stopped by the entrance and he sat by the girl's side, "Hello girls."
"Orville?" Alice queried with a mouthful of food, "What are you doing here?"
Missy finished eating bruschetta and added, "Alive."
"I was lucky enough to survive the terrible events from two years ago." He shamed to make the girls show him a little bit of trust, "But hey look at that, I still get to lead the company and I got rid of your father."
"Do not mention that man." Missy held her wrist down, feeling triggered by her father's legacy.
Orville let out a soft chuckle, "You know kids, I wasn't a fan of him too." He continued, "I wanted him out since the day I assumed this title, but his obsession for you was what kept him here all this time."
"Then why did you abduct us, again." Alice questioned hiding a knife underneath her lap to use it whenever she needed.
"But the only reason he stayed was that I needed something from him." Orville's tone and overall mood switched up as fast as a bullet, "He owed me, you know."
Missy scoffed giving him a disgusted look, saying, "You cannot be possibly serious, he owed everyone."
"You don't understand, Melissa." He pulled out files from his own drawer and shoved it to their front, "It is a very complicated story."
"Then tell us." Missy argued back to him, demanding to know why he needed them there.
"I'll start from the beginning." Orville put himself in a comfortable position ready to tell them the truth, "We knew you wouldn't listen if we simply escorted you to a plane so we had to go through some unethical methods."
Alice took an opportunity to add a joke there so she could at least brighten her sister's mood, "That's all you ever do."
"It all began when your father came up with the idea of making a dinosaur of his own." He explained, "No it's not the Utahraptors, this idea came up before anything of your knowledge. He made a partnership with Geneticorp and funded us to build the smartest, fastest, deadliest dinosaur to ever exist. And we did, we combined two existing species and spiced it up with three features some animals existing nowadays have, thus creating the killing machine he demanded. But when the time to expose the animal to the world came, he changed and everything he ever stood for, was thrown away like nothing. The hybrid was taken to a Polynesian island in Oceania, and every file and document regarding this creature was either, destroyed, burned, or locked away. It all remained like that until now, recently the creature was retrieved in the mainland, and we speculate that it somehow managed to stow away in navigation and waddled its way to the Outback."
Missy once again pushed him for an answer, she could not focus on what he had to say, "Where do we come into this."
"Good thing you asked." Orville proceeded to open up the files on the holographic tablet, he swiped down until he found a file named Lang_Sisters.AudioLog. Confused, the girls would simply pay attention, "The hybrid was programmed to only listen to your father's commands and now that he's gone, it will only follow basic standards commands like the Utahs and the creature that stalked you for example, but the hybrids genome is different and the only people that knew about it are dead, Dr. Hue and your father."
The girls were completely silent as Orville then clicked on the file that played a series of digitally manufactured audios of their voices, from recordings in their house. Orville then turned it off speaking, "So now we are willing to try anything with this creature and if it means we had to kidnap two girls for the second time, it's worth it."
In storms a young recruit holding a tablet terrified, "Mr. Van Hasen! The creature broke out."
Orville had no reaction before screaming and kicking down a chair, "You two stay right there while I handle this shit, also Simon keeps an eye on these girls." Orville stomped out of the room in complete anger and despair.
The sisters figured that had something to do with their wardens, but now with the seemingly new recruit, they had hoped to figure a way out of this joint, knowing damn well these people would never notice their absence as something would clearly go south this time, just like they always do.
