With absolutely no notion of the dangers their counterpart group could be facing, the group responsible for the boat controls enjoyed their short success as the yacht slowly made its way back to the mainland. But considering the original plan was to have a firework show after the big announcement, the barge had to be parked far from the civilization, so it could take more than a while to get back to the land. Their concerns were also pretty intact as there were no dinosaurs in sight and no human was trying to get in the way of succeeding this plan, but they would tell everything was happening way too easily.

Shortly after fixing up the controls of the boat and setting them up to function, Waden took a seat on the captain's chair and spun around comfortably. Everett sat by the crewmember's side and contemplated the view of the beautiful Italian city ahead of them. As for young Alice, she was still gazing over the security cameras, hoping to catch a visual of her beloved friends and sister, but as she least expected something unusual happened, the entire screen pannel was shut down, finding it strange she bowed down to check the cables but everything seemed to be intact.

Only to end their joy something, of course, had to happen, to word it better, someone, Madden barged into the control room after everyone seemingly forgot about his existence, which they probably assumed he would chicken out like others and swim back to the land unsuccessfully. Waden quickly, yet clumsily ran up to Everett and pointed his finger directly at Madden, "Oops, apparently he's still here."

Madden obnoxiously chewed on gum when he sloppily pointed a gun back at Waden, he motioned his head to Alice and said, "Enough screen time for you princess, teenagers these days." He joked with sarcasm, spreading his negative humor around the room.

"What do you want from us." Everett puffed his chest out, unintentionally trying to intimate the enemy, he sneaked his hand behind his belt searching for his switchblade knife, and Alice moved next to Everett afraid of having to deal with the man herself.

"That is none of your concern." He responded, supposedly threatening Everett by slightly rubbing the gun's end to his chin, "Am I right? Boy toy." He bobbed his head to Waden, who was avoiding eye contact with Madden.

"So you truly are a coward." Waden stepped up, fighting off his own cowardly nature to finally embrace the new self he couldn't when he lost Emily, "You're using us to escape safely."

"Bingo." He began to chuckle in a very unpleasant manner, "You really are something, Smith."

Alice looked over at Everett's switchblade knife and then at Madden, she began to rationalize a plan to defuse the madman. She soon thought of something, attempting to snatch a knife from Madden's holsters as he circled the group, he acted faster and grabbed her fist, "Not so fast."

The man smirked at that and laughed at her presumed stupidity, but what he didn't know was the fact she managed to beat her stupidity with his, "NOW." Everett rapidly pulled the switchblade knife out and stabbed Madden in the gut with brief movements, Everett pushed Alice and Waden behind and observed as Madden reacted to the attack.

Madden spat out a puddle of blood, cursing out at them, "You son of a.." Before he even got a chance to retrieve the attack, there had been a large yet very effective explosion on the bow, visible from where they were. The group knew it had something to do with their friends so they moved to the windowpane where all they could see was smoke, Everett looked back at them with his voice shaking, "That's our cue to go."

The three survivors sprinted out of the control room and rush down to the main level, looking around for the emergency barge. Eventually, they did spot it and there was too much they could do to get inside as it was already departing, Everett gave them a nod of approval and jumped onto the roof of the barge. Alice was the next to do so, landing quite stiffly next to Everett. Waden looked back at the boat as Madden limped toward them, he pressed his hands against the fence, but when the hybrid busted through the main entrance he made a decision. Waden took a long shot and hopped over to the barge, barely making it as Everett and Alice helped him up, now all they had to do was open the very rusty hand crank to get into the boat.
