Matthew POV:
As everyone else is asleep, I keep an eye on Riley throughout the night. She looks so peaceful when she's asleep and resting. Though I shouldn't stay here for too long before she thinks I'm a creepy stalker.
I feel bad that she didn't get a good birthday party. I was planning it for a while and it was ruined because of that a*shat. I wonder what their whole history is. Riley has only told me that they used to be good friends and then they got into a fight and it's been rocky ever since. It seems like he's known her for a while though, he knows way more about her than I do.
Not that I'm jealous or anything...
I wake up around seven o'clock and make everyone breakfast. Riley is usually the type of person to do this, but I'm pretty sure that she could use a break.
After a while, everyone wakes up and I greet them in the kitchen.
"Whoa, Matt, you didn't have to do all this!" Rachel comments
"Hey, it's no problem, I love cooking!" I smile
"This is freaking amazing!" Chris laughs as he takes a bite.
I later see Riley walk into the kitchen after freshening up and she's confused about the sight before her.
"What are you doing here? You made breakfast?" She asks
"I crashed here to make sure that you were okay. How did you sleep." I hand her a plate.
"I slept fine-wait you watched me sleep? You creep!" She hits my shoulder playfully.
"Relax, I was just making sure that you weren't in pain or anything, I'm not a creep." I sigh
"Hmm, okay. Well, thanks for breakfast." She chuckles
"You guys are probably the best cooks that I know." Rachel nods
"He is pretty good, isn't he?" Riley smirks
We hear a knock at the door and Riley goes to open the door.

Zola, Bailey, and Ellis come running into Riley's arms, almost tackling her to the ground.
"Woah, guys, I haven't had coffee yet!" She laughs
"Hey, honey. Did you sleep okay?" Derek coddles her.
"Yes, Dad, I'm fine. Matt was watching me sleep, reminds me of you." She laughs
"We missed you! Happy belated birthday sissy!" The kids kiss her cheek and squeeze her tightly.
"Aww, they love you to death." Matthew smiles
"Ry, who's this? This is your boyfriend?" Ellis points to Matthew
"Not yet," Rachel mutters and Riley glares at her.
"No, Ellie, this is one of my best friends, Matthew." She explains
"Oh, okay. So you still don't have a boyfriend yet?" Ellis says, making everyone giggle.
"Why don't you guys go hang out in my room, I have a big screen in there!" Riley suggests
"Yay, let's watch Frozen!" She chants
"Oh, great! I thought we'd watch Captain America." Bailey sighs
Riley POV:
"She is so nosy, wonder where she gets that from?" I glare at Mom.
"Whatever. Do you wanna open your gifts now? Cause you didn't get to yesterday and you should end the weekend off on a good note." She says
