Riley POV:
I've been helping Addison with a lot of paperwork recently and it's almost the end of term, I'm so exhausted. I don't even know what day of the week it is. Somehow I managed to take a shower at five o'clock this morning and make myself some tea, then head back to bed in my pyjamas. I bury myself under the covers and try to get some sleep.
I lay on my bed for a few minutes before getting a text from Matthew.
Hey, you up?
Yes. But I'm trying to go
back to sleep. It's Saturday!
We can go get a workout,
It'll help you feel energized!
No, you idiot,
I will be very sore.
Please, we're workout buddies!
I need my partner with me,
And I'll take you to the spa later.
You don't have to do that. Meet you in 5.
You're driving though.
I will, don't worry about it.
Also, I am the better driver anyway.
Hmm.
Author POV:
A few minutes later Riley meets Matthew at the gym and they work together for hours.
"You're right, that helped me feel a bit better." She laughed
"Really?" He believes her.
"No, I feel like I've just run a marathon, you a**!" She slaps his shoulder.
"How's your family?" He giggles
"They're good. My parents are now best friends with Addison, so that's great. Zola is ready to be a neurosurgeon, Bailey is gonna be a future soccer player, and Ellis misses me a lot." She says
She continues talking about them, but Mathew seems preoccupied with his phone. He's smiling at someone's messages.
"What's got you so giddy? Or shall I say who?" She smirks
"Nothing, nobody. We should probably head back now, we've done enough." He says dismissively.
"Hey, you promised the spa!" She laughed
"We don't have time, gotta go now." He drags her to the car and starts driving back home.
"Why? It's so early! Are you already tired?" She teases
"No, we just have to go." He says
"Okay well, you're gonna have to give me a piggyback because my legs are numb. The gym was your idea." She giggles
"You're like a baby. Do I have to feed you as well?" He raises his eyebrows.
"I wouldn't mind..." She hops onto his back and he holds her legs around his stomach.
They reach her door and he stops her from getting down.
"I need my keys." She says
"No, you don't, it's open." He smiles and pushes open the door with his side.
"Is Rachel home? Why is your face like that?" She's bewildered
