Y/n POV

"Are you sure you actually want to go on a date with Steve instead of staying home and hanging out with me?" I ruffled Dustin's hair.

"Sorry kiddo, I already agreed to it! But I promise I will hangout with you all day tomorrow." He groaned.

"Oh! Better idea... I come with!" Just as I was about to answer Steve came up from behind me, wrapping an arm around my side.

"Absolutely not. How are we supposed to make out if you're sitting next to us?" He made a disgusted face.

"Ew. You two have fun, but not too much fun! Harrington, that's my sister so I'm watching you. And I've successfully figured out the upside villains every time. That should scare you." Steve nodded.

"You know that actually does scare me." I laughed and shoulder nudged him.

"Byyyye Dustin."

"Bye Y/n. Bye Harrington."

"Bye Henderson!" Steve yelled as we walked through the front door. He opened the car door for me and I slid my way in. I was wearing a jean skirt with a flowy black top, it was cuffed at the wrists and baggy in the arms. Sounds hideous but trust me it's cute.

"So.. where are we going?" He smiled as he started the engine, putting a hand on my thigh.

"Now, what fun would it be if I told you where we were going?" I groaned.

"You're the worstttt.." He laughed.

"Oh hush." Our drive was short, and we ended up at some really cute little Italian restaurant. Steve got out, walking around and opening the door for me, I got out and he shut it behind me. Placing a hand around my waist and walking inside we were met with the hostess.

"Good evening, table for 2?" She kindly smiled at us.

"Reservation for 2, under Harrington." She looked down at her notepad and nodded.

"Right this way." She gestured for us to follow her.

"You used your last name for the reservation?" I asked looking up at him.

"It sounded better than 'Steve'." I giggled at him, sitting down across from him at our booth seat.

"Enjoy!" The hostess walked off and we browsed the menu. It was small, thank god because large menus give me anxiety. Steve ordered some alfredo dish and I got my favorite pasta! We laughed over dinner, talking about everything and anything.

"That was sooo good, thank you!" I smiled at him as we walked out to his car.

"You are so welcome! It was delicious!" On our drive home I spotted an empty basketball court.

"Steve! Pull over!" He quickly swerved over and looked at me with worry.

"What!? What's wrong!?" I laughed and pointed out the window at the basketball court.

"Nothings wrong! But lets go!" I got out of the car and ran towards the court, taking off my heels I grabbed one of the balls off the ground and started dribbling it.

"Oh you're on Henderson!"

"Don't get too cocky Harrington, I'm good at basketball!"

"Not as good as me!" He ran up and snatched the ball from me. I chased him, trying to get the ball back. He took the shot but utterly missed.

"You're SO good at basketball!" I yelled fetching the bell.

"Okay, I'm a little out of practice!"

"Oh sureeeeee." I ran with the ball, knowing he was close behind I took the shot and made it perfectly.

"OH SHE SHOOTS SHE SCORES! THE CROWD GOES WILD! AHHHHH!" I yelled at my victory.

"Okay okay, calm down. That was a lucky shot." I shot him a look.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Prove it. Come get the ball." We made eye contact and he ran towards me, I dodged him and made the shot, getting another point.

"OH SHIEEEET! SHE'S TOO GOOD!!!" I yelled in victory again.

"The gloating is a lot." He said, his hands on his hips.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You sore loser."

"I'm not even losing yet! You are just taking away the shots from me."

"Oh don't even! I told you to come get it, and you failed. That's on you..." I trailed off as he walked to me, grabbing my face in his hands and connecting out lips. My grip on the ball got lighter as we continued kissing and before I knew it, he had the ball and was running from me.

"NOT FAIR!" I said running after him.

"SUCK IT HENDERSON!" He threw the basketball, and finally made the shot.

"OH! THAT'S WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! IM A BALLER BABYYYY!" I rolled my eyes and he ran around the court, his hands in the air.

"You're stupid Steve Harrington." He laughed and walked back to me.

"That was rude." I giggled as we kissed again. The sun was just setting and the breeze around us was warm. I have never been happier than I am in this moment. We pulled apart and I looked up into his brown eyes, those beautiful brown eyes.

"I love you Y/n.." I didn't know what to say at first. We hadn't said the 'L' word yet, and he just did. Just like that.

"I love you too..." He smiled, so wide I thought his cheeks would rip and we were kissing again.

The drive home was short, and we held hands the whole time. I closed my eyes, feeling his hand in mine and the air rushing past my face. It was bliss. He walked me to the front door and I turned, leaning against it.

"Thank you for today, I loved it. Andddd I love you!" I said with a smile.

"Thank YOU for coming along today, and I love you too pretty girl." He connected our lips again. I heard a barfing sound from a window to my right. I pulled away and looked to Dustin's room, his head out the window.

"I love you, no I love you, no I love you. Mwah mwah mwah mwah." He mocked us.

"You're just jealous Dustin."

"That you're making out with my sister? Absolutely not." I laughed as well as Steve.

"No, you're jealous someone will make out with me and not you." Dustin's face dropped.

"That was low Steve, that was low." He slammed his window shut and I laughed while looking back to Steve.

"Well, I should be going to bed..." He looked down at my shoes and back up to my face.

"You know.. I could just spend the night...?" I rolled my eyes.

"You already know what my mom would say, and I don't feel like pissing her off again. Remember the window incident?" He shivered.

"Yeah that was awful..." I giggled at him.

"Yeah it was.."

"Well, since you must go to bed. I had a lot of fun tonight, and I love you." He said kissing my forehead.

"I had fun tonight as well, and I love you." I kissed his lips one last time before walking into my house. I smiled to myself while I walked up to my room and flopped down on my bed. He loves me.
