"Guys it went down there!" Max whispered as the gang came running up from behind her. Steve, Dustin, max and Lucas were chasing a demogorgon that had previously tried attacking them."Well, what do we do now?" Steve asked. Everyone seemed to be at a loss, looking a the field just watching as the monster crawled through the corn.
"That barn! It has to have something we can kill it with." The red head stated, all agreeing they rushed down to the barn, careful to not rush past any windows in order to stay hidden from the home owners.
"Okay, something pointy, sharp, round, heavy-"
"Yes Dustin, we know what to look for so shut up!" Lucas snapped interrupting the curly headed boy. Dustin made a face at Lucas and went back to searching the barn from some sort of weapon.
"Ummm excuse me..?" A petite female voice quickly asked startling the group. Steve turned around to see none other than Ashley Leavens, possibly one of the most beautiful girls in Hawkins Indiana. He hasn't seen her for a while, a lot of people speculated she got pregnant or started doing drugs, secretly Steve knew none of those things were true.
"Ashley... you live here?" The girl furrowed her eyebrows at the boy with the tall hair and puppy dog brown eyes.
"I do.." she was more focused on why Steve Harrington was in her barn, let alone the fact he was with 3 middle schoolers who also happened to be in her barn.
"Cool cool, it's uhh nice to see y-you. You kind of disappeared.." Steve stuttered.
"Yeah... my dad passed away and he was the only person who worked on this farm, so now I take care of it so my mom can work her job.... umm besides the point.. why exactly are you in my barn?"
"Umm, funny story. Really it's a good one if you have the time to listen to it, uhh bu-" Steve started to ramble when Dustin cut him off.
"We need to borrow something to kill a monster. A demo-dog to be exact." Silence fell over them, a think layer of tension could be felt by someone waking a mile away. Steve eyed the curly headed boy, obviously letting him know he said too much.
"A what?" Demo-dog? What in the fuck is that?
"A demo-dog, also called a demogorgon. It's almost alien but not alien. It's like a walking plant with a face that opens all the way up." Lucas pitched in.
Ashley just looked at Steve, with raised eyebrows. She didn't say anything, I mean there wasn't much to say other than Steve "the hair" Harrington was playing make believe with middle schoolers, in her barn, in the middle of summer. Now it made sense why people said he peaked in high school. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a low growl coming from behind her.
"Ashley, come here.." Steve said lower motioning for her to come towards him. She rolled her eyes. They really got someone to growl behind her to make their stupid game more realistic? Pathetic. She turned around only to be greeted but what was previously described as a walking plant thing with a face that opens up.
She screamed. The thing was light green in color, had the body of a fit male ballet dancer yet the face of an unopened flower, until the petals unfolded to show rows of razer teeth.
"Ashley come here!" Steve yelled as the girl started running towards him, she ran past him and he placed his hand on her lower back,
making sure she stayed in front of him as they ran, she ran to a set of stairs that led down into a storage room. She opened the door as everyone ran in, quickly getting in herself she shut and locked it to then realize she had been screaming the whole time. Taking a breath she look at the middle schools in front of her, out of breath and in relief they were in a room without that thing chasing them.
