Sitting in the kitchen I listened to my mom talk and talk and talk about safe sex and how it's important to not have sex until you're ready and blah blah blah.

I looked out the kitchen window and saw a foot, I scrunched my eyebrows together and looked a little closer, but my mom came into my view.

"Are you even listening to me?" I looked at her and nodded my head.

"Of course mom. Don't have sex until I'm ready." Her mouth formed a straight line.

"I said a lot more than just that, I'm telling you Y/n, this is important stuff.." she kept talking and talking about who knows what but I was still so focused on the foot in the window.

"Hey mom, I'll be right back."

"We're in the middle of a conversation Y/n.."

"Mom I gotta poop."

"Oh Y/n, I didn't need to know all that.." she trailed off and I made my way upstairs. I opened my door and saw Steve hanging from my window.

"Oh my god! What are you doing?!" I whisper yelled at him.

"Well I was trying to come say hi but my Jean belt loop is stuck to a hook below me..." I looked out the window and saw that he was indeed stuck on a hook.

"Okay ummm, can you wiggle it loose?" He tried to wiggle but to not avail.

"I tried that already.. it's really stuck." I thought for a moment.

"Give me your hand.." he grabbed my hand with one of his and I tried to pull him up, but instead of him moving I just heard his pants rip.

"Y/n stop! You just ripped my pants!"

"Oh shit! Sorry!" I dropped his hand and he continued to hang.

"Well now what?" He glared at me.

"I don't know! I'm stuck in your window!" I huffed.

"Well maybe if you weren't obsessed with the idea of crawling inside through my window, we wouldn't be in this predicament!"

"You said you thought it was cute when I came through the window!"

"I mean it is cute.."

"Henderson focus! I need help." I huffed and walked to Dustins room.

"I need your help." He turned in his spiny chair and looked at me.

"What do you want?"

"Steve is stuck in my window and needs help." He immediately started laughing and walked back to my room.

"Oh great, Dustin is your magic weapon?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"Maybe he can help! He's smart!" Dustin smiled at me.

"Thank you Y/n, I am smart!" He took a look at Steve and did some kind of calculations, looking at my and the window.

"Okay Steve, simply let go for a second. The weight of your body with break the hook and then you can grab the window again and you'll be safe!" I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"Just let go? You want him to just let go?" Dustin nodded.

"Yep." Steve groaned.

"Great, I love this." He huffed and let go for a second. Although it wasn't a second, he let go and his weight did break the hook. But he fell faster than expected and he took out the gutters, ripping half of them off the house and landing in the back yard on his back. Dustin and I ran to the window, looking at him on the ground. The rip in his pants was too noticeable.

"Steve!! Are you ok?!" He groaned. I ran downstairs and past my mom to get to Steve. I sat next to him on the ground, making sure he was ok. The rip was from his front pocket to the bottom of his zipper, nearly everything was exposed.

"Oh my god are you ok?" He groaned again.

"No, I'm terrible thanks." He said in a whisper. My mom ran out and rushed to Steve.

"Oh sweetie, are you ok??" She helped Steve sit up and I was nervous for her to see the damage to the house.

"I'm ok..." my mom smiled at him. She looked back at the house and sucked in a breath, looking back at us she forced a smile.

We both helped Steve walk into the house and lay down on the couch, he winced at the pain and my mom grabbed him some medicine as well as some ice packets.

"Y/n can I talk to you real quick?" I nodded and patted Steve's shoulder being walking off to the kitchen with my mom.

"Y/n, the gutters are off the house." I nodded and my lips formed a straight line.

"Yeah..." she nodded.

"Well, we can figure it out tomorrow but please tell Steve no more window climbing and you're grounded for a month." My mouth dropped open.

"Mom! It's literally not my fault!"

"No arguing. I love you so much!" She walked up to her room and left me in the kitchen. I groaned and walked back to the couch and saw next to Steve.

"What happened?" I looked at him.

"Mom said no more window climbing, and I'm grounded for a month because you ripped off half the gutters from the house." He looked at my with wide eyes.

"The gutters??? Really???" I nodded slightly.

"Yep." Steve groaned and shut his eyes.

"God I'm sorry Y/n, I didn't mean too.." I laughed softly.

"Well I would hope you didn't... hahaha" he laughed lightly and looked at me.

"You look beautiful tonight." I smiled.

"You look handsome." He smiled back and I leaned down to give him a kiss, he kissed me back lightly.

"Did your mom see the rip in my pants?" I nodded.

"She sure did." He huffed.

"That's soo awkward." I laughed when I heard my mom come out of her room

"Steve your dad is on his way to get you!" She walked back into her room and shut the door.

"Sorry..." I said lightly after my mom left the room again.

"Don't be, he would have figured out I was gone sooner or later." I smiled.

A short while later his dad showed up and I helped get him into the car, putting his seatbelt on I leaned over and gave him a hug.

"You take it easy Harrington. And no more windows."

"No more windows... no promises." He joked and I pushed him. Leaning up to give him another kiss I pulled away and shut his door, watching his dad drive off down the road. I turned around and my mom was standing at the door. Great.

"Kissing is fine, but let's get back to our conversation earlier.." I groaned.
