He ran over to me, ripping the duck tape off my mouth and grabbing my face in his hands.

"What happened to you? Why are you here?" All I could do was cry, and cry and cry into his hands as he cut me loose and I fell into his arms. He was sitting on his knees as he held onto me as I sobbed into his chest. He grabbed my face and looked at me, noticing all the bruising and blood.

"I'm so sorry I didn't believe you.." I choked out still crying. He shook his head.

"No, don't you dare apologize to me right now." He held me tight, close to him as I continued to cry.

"So hate to ruin this moment but we gotta go.." I heard Dustin. Steve nodded in understanding.

"He's right, we need to keep moving or else we'll all be bound and beaten. Come on I'll carry you." I nodded to him, he lifted me up and I wrapped my arms around his neck while he held onto my thighs. I laid my head on his shoulder and felt myself coming in and out of consciousness.

They ran through a maze to get into what someone called an elevator, I couldn't focus much on what was going on considering my hearing was a little off. Last thing I remember was an alarm blaring.

--- the next morning---

I woke up, in Steve's bed confused and in pain. I groaned as I sat up feeling like my head was going to pop off my body. I heard Steve walk in and saw him holding a tray of food.

"Hey, good morning. I brought you some food, thought you may be hungry." He talked quietly, also handing my 2 painkillers that I took immediately.

"What happened last night? I heard an alarm before I passed out.." he sighed.

"The alarm went off right as the elevator door shut, Dustin found a key card and was able to get the elevator to move, where as before we had gotten stuck which is one of the reasons I didn't call you.. but once the elevator got to ground level we got into my car and everyone stayed here for the night." I nodded while eating a piece of bacon.

"I'm sorry, for um not believing you.." I trailed off not really knowing how to apologize properly.

"Don't be sorry, I understand how crazy it sounds. Russians and other worldly dimensions." I lightly laughed, clutching into my side.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't with you to keep you safe.." I saw his eyes well up with tears. I reached out and placed a hand on his face, rubbing my thumb against his cheek.

"Don't. There's no way you would have known what was going to happen to me when I walked off."

"How did you end up there anyway?" I sighed trying to remember what happened.

"Well, I took a trail down into the woods just trying to clear my head and I heard some strange noises coming from beside me so obviously I decided to see what it was. I ended up tripping on something and hurting my ankle." I said pointing to my still swollen  and very bruised ankle that had an ice pack sitting on it. "So then I army crawled to see what was going on because the noises got louder and I saw something but I was grabbed, thrown into a van, tied, and put into a room, beaten and then moved to another room where you found me!" His mouth stayed slightly open as I explained the events that happened after I left his house.

"What did you see? In the woods?"

"I saw a shack with some sort of glowing light coming from it but didn't get a good look before I was grabbed." He hummed in response trying to think of something to say.

He went to say something but I leaned forward and connected our lips, ignoring to pain in my stomach. He seemed taken back at first but he kissed back, placing his hands on my face and holding it ever so lightly.

"I love you Steve." I said after pulling away and resting our foreheads together.

"I love you too, more than anything."

"Can we like, pretend I didn't break up with you the other day? Because I never, don't want to be yours.." I said lowering my head in embarrassment. He took his fingers and lifted my chin, connecting our lips again.

"Of course, I never don't want you to be my girl." I smiled at the sweet saying and we stayed in bed kissing and saying sweet nothings to each other. Once I gained the strength to leave his bedroom I made my wait downstairs to see the group of teenagers all staring at me with their arms crossed.

"So we're just a bunch of middle schoolers now huh?" I heard Dustin say as the rest of the group looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"You told them what I said?" I looked at Steve. He shrugged his shoulders and looked at a loss for words.

"I needed advice." I groaned.

"You guys aren't just a bunch of middle schoolers, you're all my best friends. I've told you that a million times now! If I thought you guys were just a bunch of middle schoolers I would have never had movie nights with you, or sang karaoke with you, would have never drove to one of your houses in the middle of the night because you had a bad dream.." I said eyeing Max while I did it. "I was very upset and hurt and I said some things I shouldn't have said and that was one of them. I love you guys." And before I knew it I was being crushed by all of them.

I cried out in pain as they all ran from me, I sighed as the pain subsided and looked at all the worried faces.

"Maybe a group hug once I'm better? I think that's our best option." Everyone laughed and I was back in my happy place.

This sounds weird but thank god it was actually some crazy Russians.
