"Aunt Joyce?" I called from the doorway of my aunts house. I hadn't seen her in a while and was over the moon I got to see her again.

"Oh Y/n it's so good to see you!" She scurried around the door to come give me a hug. Her hugs were always the best and I missed them so much when I was away.

I had been invited to come stay for the summer while my mom does some court things that I don't need to be invested in. Since dad was out of the picture I had nowhere else to go.

"Are you hungry? You're so tiny, come on!" She ushered me into the kitchen and plopped me down on a chair, pointing to all the various snacks that were available.

"Maybe I'll eat in a little bit, but would it be ok if I put my stuff away first?" Joyce laughed and slapped her hand on her forehead.

"Oh! Oh course. Sorry I'm just so excited you're here, I'll show you to your room." We walked upstairs with my 3 suitcases, looking into my room it was basic. A bed, nightstand and a desk with a lamp. It was perfect, more than I had at home.

"Oh I love it!" She smiled at me.

"Get settled, and whenever you want to come down feel free! We're having a few of Wills friends over for a slip and slide party that you are more than welcome to attend." I thanked her and she shut the door as she left. I let out a sigh and sat on the bed.

I laid down and shut my eyes, relaxing onto the comfortable mattress, I haven't had a bed of my own in I don't know how long.

I opened my eyes and heard screaming, I quickly sat up and ran to the window trying to see what was happening. I saw Will, and a few other kids going down the slip n slide. I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding, looking through my suitcase I found my swim suit. A cute green, pink and yellow swirl pattern covered both top and bottoms. I shuffled into the bathroom and switched clothing, putting a flowing black dress over top.

I walked downstairs meeting Joyce in the kitchen.

"Hi aunt Joyce, sorry I fell asleep for a little." She smiled at me.

"Oh honey don't worry about it, I know how stressful things have been for you." I smiled as she rubbed my arm. I looked out the window and saw Will having fun with his friends, I also noted a cute fluffy brown haired boy who looked about my age.

"Oh, so you know Will obviously. Then there's Dustin, Mike, Max, Lucas and the older boy is Steve. He hangs out with them a lot, but he's a good kid." I nodded trying to remember everyone names. I eyed Steve again, he was laughing with the boys as they went down the slip n slide.

I ate a piece of watermelon and made my way outside, taking off my flip flops and walking to one of the lawn chairs I took off my dress, might as well get a good tan while I'm here. Laying down I got settled when I felt a shadow. Opening one eye I saw Will looking at me.

"Y/n hi!" I sat up and gave him a tight hug, I love this kid.

"Hi Will! How are ya?" He shrugged.

"I'm good, are you going to go down the slip n slide?" I contemplated for a minute.

"I'm not sure yet, maybe!" He gave a the puppy dog eyes.

"Pleaseeeee." I smiled.

"The puppy dog eyes? Fineeeeee." I laughed while he pulled me to the slip n slide.
