Y/n P.O.V

"Can we go over the plan one more time please?" Lucas asked from the corner of the room.

"Lucas, we've been over it like a million times at this point. Y/n will go into murder house, once she's gotten vecnas attention she is going to use her flashlight and signal us 3 times. We then let the others know what phase to start." Max seemed a bit annoyed at the question as she answered. But it could be the nerves. I mean, who knew what was going to happen?

"No no, I know that part. But what if y/n gets pulled in? Who's going to help?" The room fell silent as everyone's eyes shifted to me.

"You're right, we didn't even think of that." Erica's voice was smaller than normal.

"We do not deviate from the plan. I got myself out once before, I can do it again. Remember. We've been over this a million times, we could all do it in our sleep." I was scared, but my voice was stone cold and confident. It had to be.

We packed our things and headed to murder house, the wind was colder than usual during this season. The leaves rustled slightly and the sky was a muted pink. I wish Steve could be here, I wish I could tell him how I really felt before going to my possible death. I shook the thoughts away, stay positive and you'll get a positive outcome.

I stood in front of the large stained glass door. It was beautiful to look at from the outside, the swirls of color and iridescence glowed from the setting sun. I turned to look at my friends. Max, Erica and Lucas.

"Hey, I'll see you guys when this is over. And please do not tell Steve."

"What happens if he shows up?" I watched as her red hair swayed in the wind.

"Just, make him leave somehow. I don't know. He just can't know I'm in there or else he'll show up and the whole plan will be ruined." They all nodded in agreement before I was smothered into a group hug. Even being a few years older we were all closer than I had thought we would be.

I loved being around them, watching them grow and learn and become their own person. It might be nicer without the creatures and wicked upside down evil plague thing but regardless, they made me happy.

As we separated I watched as they made their way across the street, climbing onto the play structure and giving me the go ahead signal. It's not or never.

I took a breath and walked into murder house. The cobwebs decorated the halls and staircases as the layers of dust mounded ontop the furniture. The blue light emitted from my extended arms gave everything an eerie look, didn't help that blue was not a favorite color of mine.

My shoes stayed by the door, the quieter I can be the better. I have to find him first after all. As I made my way into the living room the light began to pulse. I froze in fear, he's here.

"I'm here." I stated. Not as loud as I had tried to be but it was a firm tone. The light continued to pulse but no other voice rang out. I took another breath.

"I'm here, what are you waiting for?" I said it louder this time. The light didn't pulse this time, I moved from the living room to the stairs and caught him again, up the steps I walked as I followed the pulsing light.

I found myself in the attic, a small table sat in the middle of the room. Walking towards it I placed the light down and sat. I knew what he wanted, I knew what I had to say.
