A/N: this rant is about both the ship and both cats in general ^w^

SINK SINK SINK SINK both the ship and both cats involved!! SINK THE TWO IN THE RIVER AND FORCE THEM TO STAY UNDER AND NEVER COME BACK UP LIKE DARKTAIL DID TO NEEDLETAIL!!!!

To begin with, I despise both those cats and their fetid ship (more than any cat or ship I've mentioned across my fEw rants)... Sure, the fact that Star Flower goes on to mate with the father of her ex (after brutally toying with his feelings) is purely abhorrent, but I'm disgusted by a bit more specifics. Honestly these two are at the top of my hate list; only Appledusk and Foxheart top them.

First off, I think that if anything Star Flower should be the Mary Sue of the series (I guess I understand why some deem it's Spottedleaf- idk about Silverstream though (which i heard from someone)- but SOMEBODY RECOGNIZE STAR FLOWER'S TREACHERY TOPPED OFF OF HER GORGEOUSNESS >:[). Star Flower literally wanted a tom to fall for her and had it happen instantly. All Star Flower had to do to win Thunder's heart was waltz up to him charmingly and go "I've heard a lot about you". Then instantly the formidable tom got captivated and shocked to the point he couldn't utter a response.

When Star Flower first rejoined Clear Sky's group, Clear Sky had been wary, revolted, and even cynical because the treacherous she-cat had deceived his son for one eye. But all Star Flower had to do was greet him outside of camp and perform a bunch of wiTcHcRaFT to melt the tom's resolve. Literally, although Firestar was entranced by Spottedleaf- and her scent- the minute he entered Thunderclan it still took some time for him to mutually marvel over the mEdiCiNe cat and her herb-sorting. Spottedleaf hadn't deliberately approached Firestar to pull him under her spell. Silverstream's case had happened in a flash too but Silverstream did save Graystripe (and irresponsibly begin to visit the tom as a result). Their love stories might've been rushed, but at least I saw them as smooth as rivers (the rivers just gushed onward too quickly), they were definitely better than having the frozen ice of a creek intentionally crushed. In other words, Star Flower's mingling with Clear Sky had seemed deliberate beyond words, far worse than any case involving Silverstream or Spottedleaf.

(Ps. You might think that it was wrong for Spottedleaf to seek out Fire in his dreams, but I like the reminder that at least Fire wasn't initially distasteful towards his Mary-Sue (because he had no reason too because Spottedleaf didn't originally do anything BAD) while Clear Sky was. Besides I believe a "sweet scent" is better than a not only unnatural but artificial eye of five petals or blazing stars (besides didn't Star Flower carry the scent of a qUeEn while expecting?!?!). And Spottedleaf did carry out something heroic (although I don't recoil from Mapleshade as I still pity her) for Sandstorm. I might not like Spottedleaf too much but I definitely don't harbor any serious aversion for her (I'm actually beginning to acknowledge her) and I agree with who defended the renoun Mary Sue by mentioning how she'd been ominously trailed by Thistleclaw from her childhood and had no cat inform her that it was unhealthy, leading to her inheritance of the trait.)

xD now sorry for getting side-tracked with Spottedleaf, I don't want to compare the two because their differences dwarf their similarities (although we don't have a backstory for Star Flower) but the fandom's stereotypes make that difficult...

You'd think Clear Sky would've resisted Star Flower, fully being aware of what she was capable of as she almost cost him his life by providing One-Eye an advantage. One-Eye almost tormented Clear Sky in the same way Ashfur did to Shadowsight- except Clear Sky had mUcH more advantages I don't even need to list in his scenario. And then there was Star Flower, drooling around him because her own One-Eye was gone, and there Sky sat utterly enticed in a pile of fur tainted with the murders he's committed, how convenient.
