**defending Shadowsight against literally all of Shadowclan (especially Mothwing)**

Ok so 1) hOw dARe Mothwing condemn Shadowsight for bringing Ashfur's messages into the light!! Had the she-cat alongside everyone else forgotten how siCk Bramblestar was? If Shadowsight hadn't acted, Ashfur might've found a way to single handedly drive Bramble from his body without any assistance. The fact that Shadowsight- all young and bewildered- had complied to his message only enabled Ashfur some sort of a quicker death (and companion/care-giver because Ashfur would've been able to predict the clans' traditions and a cat's destiny (aka. the contempt and warriness Shadowsight received)).

Except Bramble was beyond ill with a frozen moonpool and troubling dreams! How do you think Shadowsight would've felt if he hadn't passed on the enlightenment? He wouldn't have been any more at ease in my opinion, weighed down by guilt. Such a bemusing dilemma a poor cat who has been tormented from a young age had to be put in!! (Show Shadowsight some sympathy y'all).. If anything Shadowsight's the one who deserves to act all whiny, not Dovewing. (and still Dovewing had far more reason than Lionblaze, Tigerheart, and Ivypool).

In addition, Starclan had also been eerily silent! If the other medicine cats had been receiving ominous voices, then the burden would've alleviated Shadowsight's horror. Except Shadowsight was all alone in the demanding hemisphere of life. Maybe Shadowsight wouldn't have needed to divulge his hearing- his last resort almost- if other medicine cats had broached solutions. Except no, he was the only one hearing SOMETHING, even if it was so little.

Lastly, do any of you readers recall how Shadowsight first consulted his father? Tigerheart had exhorted silence (even though that was probably for the good of the mate he was in an inane relationship with and not the clan as he couldn't have been aware and couldn't have cared (xD)). The only reason Shadowsight was driven to do the unthinkable was because he strongly believed his clan was being cursed and punished as a result of his silence.

Do you remember how Blazefire's friend fell from a tree and completely passed away? It had been one of the cats who'd traveled to the clans with Tigerheart and Dovewing. He's name was Ant- something; IDK..: **oh right it was Antfur, as I rummaged from the internet** Witnessing such a tragedy and such profuse weeping, Shadowsight almost had no choice. I can vaguely recall another event he regarded as misfortunate, although I can't quite place my finger (maybe it was just the dwindling prey count). But I think you get the point UwU... Imagine how much more misfortune would've occurred if Shadowsight's lack of action had persisted.

Bristlefrost and Rootspring might've been encumbered in the second and third book, but that was quickly reversed! Poor Shadowsight! I've made it clear that I'm pretty antipathetic to Squilf, but I've got to appraise her for affirming that the clans shouldn't judge Shadowsight for his young mistake.

I'd been fine with Mothingwing all along, from the arc she first appeared (was it the 2nd? lol) in as a medicine cat to the 5th arc. As an almost background character with one noncentralized and rushed/progressive novella, she wasn't explored as much for me to judge her true personality.

However, her character provided an alluring storyline as a medicine cat who didn't believe in Starclan who then passed on a false vision due to her brother's extortion- her brother being the only reason she was a medicine cat (for his benefit though) and the only reason she was skeptical.
