Liam’s P.O.V.

3:46 p.m.—Saturday—February 23, 2013

Mr. and Mrs. Watson were amazing. Really. They always watched over me, and offered to take me out to the movies, and got me whatever I wanted—even though I tried not to be selfish, it was hard. After living a life at St. Xavier’s luxury like this was just so incredible to me. However, even though I was spoiled and cared for, I still had a hole in my heart. I needed Zayn. I needed him to be here to protect me. (Even though there wasn’t really anything to protect me from anymore.)

Next week I would be started school. I was really nervous, and really hoped that we could adopt the others this weekend so I wouldn’t have to brace school alone.

“Liam!” Mrs. Watson called from downstairs. I hopped up from my seated position on my bed and walked quickly down to the kitchen, where she was making smoothies. “We are heading back to St. Xavier’s today,”

A smile grew across my face. They knew as well as I that being here without my friends upset me. In fact, I knew they heard me crying at night when I thought of Zayn. Often times Mrs. Watson would bring me tea when that happened. But now, we were actually going to try and adopt the others. All of them.

Before I knew it, we were in the car, driving away from my new home, and down the long driveway and through the black gates. Even though my stomach churned at the thought of returning to that wooden building, I knew that I had to get my friends. They were the closest thing I had to family. Leaving them behind was no longer an option. Being with Mr. and Mrs. Watson had showed me that being broken can be a phase. All I needed to do was get a grip on my thoughts, and sort them out from what Mr. Wilson wanted me to think.

“Are you okay, Liam?” Mrs. Watson asked as we walked towards the front doors of St. Xavier’s. I nodded, and tried to control my shaking. We walked inside and right into Mr. Wilson’s office.

“Ah, hello Mr. and Mrs. Watson,” He smiled when he saw us, “Is there something I can help you with? Is Liam misbehaving?”

I flinched when he said that. He thought they were ‘returning’ me. Mr. Watson stepped in front of me protectively and my chest expanded once again, letting me breath.

“No, not at all,” Mrs. Watson said, “He’s been amazing,”

“Well, then what can I help you with?” Mr. Wilson said.

“We would like to adopt more children,” Mrs. Watson said.

“Oh? Are you sure?” Mr. Wilson said, squinting his eyes, and looking the Watson’s up and down as if he was sizing them up.

“Yes, very sure,” She said, “We already have the names. Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik,”
