(Note: Parvati is Gryffindor and Padma is Ravenclaw.)

My jaw nearly dropped as Parvati explained what Seamus said to Harry. Seamus was so sweet, but this year, he changed his mind a bit, apparently. It seemed so...strange.

"It was the oddest thing," she continued. "Normally, the only sound that indicates Seamus is an explosion."

"I know," I agreed with a suppressed laugh.

"Maybe you should've went with him to the ball instead, Parvati," Padma teased.

"Lavender did. He didn't go out with her again, so... But those Drumstang men," I sighed dreamily.

"Yeah, but Irish is more your type, huh?" Padma giggled.

"Tease Parvati!" I felt myself flush.

"I'm sorry I said Parvati should've went out with him. He's yours, I know," Padma apologized with a laugh.

"Shut up!" I felt myself flush more.

"Parvati! Padma! The not-twin one!" Lavender called. She ran to us and sat down. "Harry is the new Quidditch Captain this year. And Ron is trying out!"

"Oh, fun. What spots are open?" I asked.

"Just keeper," Lavender answered.

"At least Seamus didn't ruin his shot to join, then. He wants to play chaser." I took my wand out and started burning a doodle into the picnic table we sat at. "Dean too. I wonder what Dean thinks about all this."

"Hard telling, really," Parvati sighed. "Hope we don't have to deal with a petty fight among friends like last year. Ron and Harry's fight was the most annoying thing I've ever been subject too. If Dean and Seamus do that..." She looked to me. "Don't you dare agree to play owl for Seamus."

"I wouldn't," I promised and started another doodle. "Every time we were hanging out, someone would come along and ask if either of you or even we—" I gestured to Padma and myself. "—have seen one of them and if we do to tell them someone told someone else that their friend heard that Ron said Harry should talk to them because it's important. No thanks."

"It was infuriating," Parvati stated simply.

I stood with Padma, Parvati, and Lavender with what seemed to be half the school. We all knew we had to do something, at least. Literally everyone, even Slytherins, hated Umbridge and her stupid lessons.

I looked around at my fellows. Dean...but no Seamus. Damn.

I signed the paper. Loyalty to Dumbledore... More like loyalty to my education and hating Professor Bitchface.

I looked to the coin as I walked to the castle. Next meeting, awesome. I saw Dean as I looked up. I approached him, checking that Seamus wasn't with him. "Hey, Dean!" I called. "Anything new?" I asked and flipped my coin.

He caught it and gained a bit of a smile. "Not really. How about you?"

"Just routine stuff with Padma," I answered and shrugged.

"Fun. Seamus is right behind me if you have time—"

"Oh Merlin, I'm gonna be late!" I realized and looked to my watch. I can't lie at all, not at all, not well when it comes to Seamus. "Bye, Dean!" I turned from him and saw Seamus coming. I felt myself flush at nearly being caught. "Bye, Seamus!" I pushed past him and rushed away from them.
