She looked at the street sign outside her house, knowing the name Privet Drive from somewhere. It wasn't her mother who told her the name the first time, no...it was somewhere else.

Privet Drive, Privet Drive, Privet Drive, Privet Drive, Privet Drive... She walked down the drive until she saw a skinny tabby cat standing beside some bushes.

"Harry Potter!" she whisper-screamed to herself. She looked at the cat, remembering the story of Professor McGongall using her cat animagus to watch Harry. She coaxed the cat forward, but it stayed still, staring at her. "Stay!" she told the cat firmly.

She returned with a hot dog. Carefully, she threw pieces to the cat. While it was eating, she snuck up and grabbed it. Instead of fighting her, it hung in her arms.

"Come on, kitty. We're going to drink milk and write a letter to Harry Potter."

She gave the cat a little milk on a saucer and wrote her letter.

Dear Harry Potter,

Hello, Harry. I'm a Ravenclaw in your year. I moved to Privet Drive two days ago. I thought your aunt and uncle lived here. If they do, maybe you can come do your summer assignments with me. And we can just hangout too. I've never lived in the muggle world before, so maybe you can help me orientate a bit.

She signed it and sent her owl off. The next morning, she hadn't received a reply. She walked down the street, trying to figure out if there was a way she had mis-remembered.

As she walked down the drive, someone walked toward her. It was a tall boy with baggy clothes. His hair was dark and messy. As she got closer, she saw round glasses.

"Harry?" she called.

He looked up from the pavement. At first, he was nervous but his face turned to a smile.

"Hello!" he called.

"Hi-a! Did you get my letter?"

"My uncle took it but I read part of it. He wouldn't let me send Hedwig off either."

"Maybe we should pretend we just met today," she suggested.

"Good plan."

She nodded. "Do you play wizard chess?"

"Yeah, Ron Weasley taught me."

"The best chess player in Hogwarts? Let's see how we fair against each other. Come on!" She grabbed his hand and ran home with him. "Mum! Harry Potter does live on this street so we're gonna play wizard chess for a while!"

"Okay! Harry, make sure you don't stay too long and get in trouble," a woman called somewhere in the house.

"He will," she yelled to her mother, taking out a chessboard. She set it up on the floor and laid on her stomach in front of it. "Gonna join me?" she asked, patting the floor across from her.

Harry sat down, legs folded. "You first," he declared.

She shrugged and made her first move. After 42 moves, she told him check. The light in his eyes dimmed. He was defeated. She gleefully shouted, "Cheeeckmaaate!"

He laughed a little.

"You're good at quidditch. I'm good at chess."

Harry laughed. "Fair," he agreed.

"Are you hungry? I'm hungry. Let's bake biscuits."

"Okay."

They went downstairs, and she taught him how to make her mum's chocolate chip biscuits. After eating them, they walked Privet Drive together back to #4.
