TW: Abusive ex. Rating: basically PG idk
"No more pranks," Wood concluded. meeting each twin's eyes.
"Babe," they heard someone whine.
The three of them turned to see Marcus Flint, the biggest asshole on and off the pitch desperately trying to get a girl's attention. He grabbed her hand and clutched onto her. Her head turned to him, and it was immediately obvious that she was having none of it. She pulled her hand away, but he pulled on her wrist. A flame of anger rose in him at what was definitely the public action of a behind-doors abuser.
Before anyone around could even consider defending the little lady or looking the other way, the 'little lady' had brought the asshole to the ground. She didn't even look at him or anyone else as she walked away. Her hair bounced behind her back as she strutted off. Everyone in the corridor was frozen, even her would-be attacker. After nearly a full minute of stillness, everyone reverted back to their normal activities.
"Who is she?" Wood asked the twins quietly.
"She was his girlfriend. She's a Slytherin in our year," Fred answered.
"And apparently a badass," George added.
"I'd say so."

Wood stared at her as he leaned against the wall. The way Flint pined after her...it kept him distracted. But it must be damn annoying. ...And the way he grabbed her, pulled on her... He was abusive to her, no doubt. She could clearly defend herself, but it must be exhausting.
He felt eyes on him. Flint. He held Flint's eyes, basically challenging him to a fight. The tension increased, and one of them was going to snap.
And then, quite literally, a snap. She had risen from her bench and was going on a nice walk, paying no mind to the frail twigs that snapped under even her gentle feet. How could such a fierce, undeniably powerful force be so delicate...pretty, even?
He turned back to Flint, and their eyes held mutual hatred. He faintly recognized that she was likely getting further from their sight. Maybe if he stalled Flint long enough, he'd leave her be. After what could've been hours of anticipation, he broke off the stare, sure she was too far for Flint to find. And Flint seemed to realize what had happened. He was clearly furious but stalked off regardless.

He saw her in the corridor and couldn't stop himself from staring. Something about her... She was somewhere between a raw sexual force and a force of nature. Her unbothered stroll held the grace of a doe but the tranquillity of a mature stream. But whatever Flint managed to pull out of her was like the rapids of the Tay. He didn't fully realize he was following her until he walked into the fresh air outside the castle. Her speed changed from her casual stroll to a trot to a brisk walk. She found a trail to the forest and walked along, indifferent to any human surroundings. She not only held the simple beauty of nature; she also appreciated it more than the average person.

I sat down at a picnic table with a new novel, one of Madam Pince's recommendations. I could feel eyes on me, but they weren't those of Marcus. His stare was angry and greedy, this was...not that. I closed my book and shrank it before sticking it in my pocket. I rose and looked around slightly, wondering who in their right mind would stare at me following the Marcus incident.
I started my trek up to the school and saw only one person in the area - Oliver Wood. I met his eyes and immediately found the dirt at my feet rather interesting. As I got closer, I felt that his eyes were still on me. He doesn't know me. He doesn't know anything about me. If I pretended to be the confident, hard-ass bitch that knocked Marcus down a peg, he'd be none the wiser that I'm really an anxious mess...
