The Long Lost Daughter

Ch.8

Mina sighed, "I am..." She looked over and saw Sana looking really nervous, Mina looked back at Daeun, "I am dating Chaeyoung. We've been dating for 3 years now"

Daeun and Narae nodded, "Okay that's cool. That's your biggest secret?"

Mina nodded, "Yeah...my big..secret"

Narae: "So why can't we especially tell Y/n?"

Mina looked back at them, "She's...young so she might not...know about these things..?

Daeun and Narae laughed, Daeun smiled a bit, "She knows about it for sure, she had a crush on a girl in her class last year, and this year she has a crush on Tori"

Mina smiled big, "Really?"

Narae nodded, "Wait until she hears Tori likes her back, they are always together, laughing, getting in trouble together. We have pictures of them playing video games, reading books, building a sand castle at the beach we went to one time. They are close, but they are young, so no need for that right now, maybe later"

Mina looked down at the bracelet she was wearing then at the one she got for Y/n and looked at the girl real quick, "IamYn'sbirthmom"

Daeun caught that, "I'm sorry can you repeat that slower?"

Mina got up and ran to the restroom, Sana looked at them, "Did you hear it? If not, I'm sorry, but if so...please wait"

Sana got up and walked to the restroom, Narae leaned back, "Mina? ...there is no way"

Daeun thought about it, "She looks like her, has the same mole, almost identical surnames, Mina has been trying to get to know Y/n, and she even has a slight tiny waddle to her walk, but she'll flip if we point it out"

Narae sat up again, "Oh shit, you're right...okay but about that walk, she's still a kid, the girl has a pep in her step. She likes to skip, she'll avoid stepping on the cracks, I know I saw her pretend she was a penguin and waddle."

Daeun: "No this one is in her walk, didn't she use to dance at her school"

Narae: "Yea what does that have to do with anything?"

Daeun: "She got bullied for her being apart of the dance team, but they would call her waddles, she didn't know why....but she does have one"

Narae laughed, "Waddles?! Oh please can I call her that? It's funny though and So Cute!"

Daeun smiled, "No you can't call her that, but it is a cute nickname...maybe one day cuz I would love to as well"

Narae: "We can hint it to Quest...if they do, then we can. It's cute, I love the name"

They talk more about their members, they do have the responsibility of them as the oldest of the group, but they enjoy it and love looking  after them.

Mina and Sana came back to the table, Mina put her head down, "I'm sorry, ignore what I said"

Daeun put her hand on Mina's arm, "It's okay, but it's just a huge shock. Like we didn't know you ever had one, and the other thing is how you do know?"

Sana: "She called the center she left Y/n at and they said she ran away and was adopted becoming a Kpop idol. Who is the only Kpop idol with that name"

Mina: "You can not tell her. I also have this bracelet, I wanted to tell her today and surprise her with this, but she said no to joining...so I guess that's a sign"

Narae looked down for a second before looking back at Mina, "Y/n is having mixed feelings, and she keeps telling herself she hates her birth mom, but she also fights herself because she really wants to meet you"

Mina smiled softly, "Really? She wants to?"

Daeun: "Yeah"

Mina nodded, "I'm still gonna go through this as that was a sign. We'll leave you girls alone, we'll take a break from trying to get to know her. But can you do me a favor?"

Narae: "Anything"

Mina: "Can you update me on how she's doing? Like small things or big things. I want to be apart of her life, but I want to give her space at the same time"

Daeun: "Do you want the videos and photos I have now, I have when Y/n lost a tooth, her hanging on the monkey bars, her and Naomi learning Korean with a game, her reading upside down off the couch....Well I have one video of Haewon showing me her painting she did, but in the background Y/n is in timeout and it just makes me laugh because she's playing with the lines on the wall"

Mina laughed a little, "You really take care of her, actually you really stepped up for all your members, and we're proud of you for that"

Narae rolled her eyes playfully, "You should see her entire folder for all of us, it's called "My babies" it's cute"

Sana laughed, "I have a few photos, I have one folder called "members" and another one called "idiots"...one is for the all the good photos, and the other is for all of our stupid photos"

They all laughed, Mina finally calmed down, and they talked for about another hour or 2 before calling it a day and going their separate ways.

While at the dorm, Y/n was looking for a paper Daeun had signed before so she can forge it, but for some reason can't find one. Tori rolled her eyes, grabbed the paper and forged it for her, "There, one and done"

Y/n grew skeptical, "How do you know the signature"

Tori: "It's funny you think I don't get notes sent home"

Y/n grabbed the paper and put it in her backpack, "Well I would tell Daeun unnie, but she told me if I came home with another bad note from the teacher, I would be grounded...I like my video games"

It's all good on both sides, secrets were spilled, signatures were signed, and it now all about timing

...and making sure Dispatch doesn't leak the new information they just got
