Ch.27

Y/n looked at Mina, "Are you okay?"

Mina smiled, "I'm great. Don't worry about me, I let my emotions take over."

Y/n slowly nodded, "Did my parents make you upset? I can talk to them. I'll do something, I swear"

Mina shook her head, "Your parents are amazing. If anything they helped me get past what I was feeling. They helped me feel included"

Y/n felt relieved, "Are you sure?"

Mina hugged Y/n again, "I'm sure"

They all got as a group, Y/n looked at her phone, "So let's have some fun"

Mina: "What if I drop you guys off? I really shouldn't intrude"

Mom: "...I would stop that"

Mina: "Yeah...all of us then"

Dad: "Great. Mina remember, you're apart of this family too"

Mina: "Okay...thank you"

Y/n: "Yay! Let's go!"

They got in the car, and the phone started ringing, Mina used the Bluetooth to answer the phone, "Hi mom"

Mrs.Myoui: "Mina, that gift you sent got here. I don't know where to take it"

Mina: "Ahh, I'll have to call you back for that"

Myoui: "Okay okay. Did you wish Y/n a happy birthday?"

Mina: "Yes mom, like I've done every year. This year I get to spend it with her"

Myoui: "I'm glad. Are you okay?"

Mina: "Fine, why?"

Myoui: "Only because you get depressed-"

Mina hung up the phone before her mom could finish that sentence, "Sorry"

Y/n: "You get depressed around my birthday?"

Mina sighed, "I may wish you a happy birthday from a far, but it doesn't help me wishing I was still with you"

Y/n nodded, "I'm sorry"

Mina shook her head, "You have nothing to be sorry about"

Y/n: "I make you sad"

Mina looked over for a quick second, but continued to look at the road, "You never made me sad, I've made some regretful decisions. That's all me. Not you"

Y/n: "Sorry"

Mina rolled her eyes before smiling, "I see you get that from me"

Mom: "Is everything okay?"

Mina: "It's good, I see that apologizing thing runs in the family"

Mom: "You have no idea how much you both are alike"

Mina: "Yup, okay. First is Y/n's favorite restaurant for some nice lunch."

Y/n: "Then we can go mini golfing because I want to try it"

Dad: "Sounds fun, ice cream after?"

Y/n: "Sounds even better"

Mina: "Sounds like a productive day"

They drove to Y/n's favorite restaurant, all of them watching a happy Y/n sit at the table. Mina took a picture of her, "So what are your plans for tomorrow Mr and Mrs.... I never got your last name actually"

Dad: "Riana, that's where Y/n's middle name came from"

Y/n: "I don't use it, but it only ever comes out when I'm in trouble"

Mom: "You get in trouble a lot?"

Y/n: "No...not big trouble at least"

Dad: "Well to answer your question Mina, we leave tomorrow morning"

Mina: "Oh, I hope you have a safe flight back"

Mom: "What are your plans tomorrow?"

Mina: "I don't have any, but Y/n what are you doing?"

Y/n: "Nothing, our group is taking a small break. I don't know why though if we're working on a comeback"

Mina: "So, the others want to celebrate your birthday. So I'm thinking a Twice/Voyage get together"

Y/n: "Sounds fun, I'll tell my members"

Mina: "I wish you both could join, but I understand needing to go back home"

Mom: "Bills won't pay themselves. I hope you girls have fun tomorrow."

Y/n waited a while, then took a deep breath "So...I don't want to be an idol anymore"

Dad: "Why?"

Y/n: "It's too much, I don't get a lot of hate anymore, but I still get some. They blame me for being born, which is dumb, but they say some pretty mean things"

Mom: "I will go fight them for you, I'll go fly to where they are right now"

Y/n: "No..but um, I've been keeping it in, and I don't know how to feel anymore. I try to stay happy and act like it doesn't bother me. But it does"

Mina: "Can I see some of the messages?"

Y/n: "I don't want you to"

Mina sighed, "Now I'm not asking, let me see them."

Y/n: "No, I don't want you to see them"

Mina: "Myoi Y/n, let me see them. I'm not asking, show them to me"

Y/n got out her phone and showed her the screenshots she took of them, Mina was getting upset by the second. She took a deep breath, and handed the phone back to Y/n, "Why are you keeping this in?"

Y/n: "I don't want to burden anyone"

Mina: "You won't be a burden, but I want you to tell Daeun. If you don't want to be an idol, I support you, but speak to your members, they deserve to know as well. But mostly speak to Daeun about this and she can help you get through it together. I can help you too, your parents can help you. But I know you trust Daeun a lot and she takes care of you when we aren't around. So please Y/n"

Y/n: "Okay...are you mad at me?"

Mina: "No, I would never be mad at you, but let's switch back to Japanese so your parents can be included"

Y/n nodded and looked at her parents, "Would you let me come home if I chose to quit?"

Dad: "If quitting is what you really want to do, then go for it. We will always accept you back home, you don't even have to ask"

Mina: "Just think a little more before you do anything because I don't want you to quit and regret it right after. I want you to make sure that this is exactly what you want to do"

Mom: "Yeah, put 1 month into being an idol. By the end of the month, make your final decision."

Y/n: "Okay I'll do that"
