The Long Lost Daughter

Ch.30

When they arrived at the airport, Y/n and the manager were dropped off a little earlier and walked for a bit before making it to the entrance, going in quickly.

Mina and Chaeyoung arrived about a minute later which got everyone's attention. Y/n and the manager hurried as quickly as they could.

Finally they were able to get through everything completely unnoticed, and the flight went well. Their manager was protecting Y/n with his life, although he is not her manager, he is doing this for her so she can enjoy her time even while on a hiatus.

When they landed and got the car, their managers took a different car and would just follow them.

Chaeyoung looked back while Mina was driving, "So are you excited?"

Y/n nodded, "Yeah, I was bored yesterday trapped inside the dorm"

Chae: "We figured, and we want to do this for you"

Mina: "Yeah, I know Chaeyoung is not a mom or anything, but she loves you just the same"

Y/n: "I know, and I love you both the same"

Mina paused, she didn't know if it was like in an older sister way, or she sees them both as mothers.

Y/n looked out the window, "So what made you come to Jeju"

Chae: "Just a fun little trip, also how is the Legos going?"

Y/n sighed, "It's a lot. But it's fun"

Mina: "That's good, well are you hungry?"

Y/n: "A little"

Mina: "Okay, so we're gonna pick up food and go eat somewhere, okay?"

Y/n: "Okay, that's fine"

Y/n was looking out the window and watching all the things passing by. Mina and Chaeyoung were talking amongst themselves.

Y/n: "Eomma..."

Mina tensed up, but had to focus since she was driving. A quick glance at Chaeyoung kind of confirmed what she heard.

Y/n: "Unnie, are we only staying here for the day?"

Mina: "Oh- um- yeah, well we're staying the night we leave in the morning"

Y/n: "Okay"

Mina: "What did you call me?"

Y/n: "Unnie. If I said anything different, I'm sorry, I must of not realized and was disrespectful, I'm sorry."

Mina: "No! No...No you're okay. You did nothing wrong"

Chae: "Just look out the window"

Y/'n shrugged and looked back out the window to see all the things passing by. Y/n saw Mina's reaction, and saw her tense, so she was assuming that Mina was uncomfortable with hearing her say Eomma.

In reality it's all that Mina has ever wanted. She just didn't expect it, and since it was the very first time hearing it, she didn't know what to expect or how to respond. But she loved hearing it, she just wishes she reacted to it on time.

Chaeyoung looked back and then at Mina who was hating herself for not reacting on time. The car ride got silent as Y/n started to overthink that Mina didn't want her as her daughter, and Mina was overthinking, believing that Y/n hates her. Chaeyoung could tell what they were both thinking, they literally are the same people.

Chaeyoung sighed, "Okay Y/n we're here. Let's get down so you can choose what you want to eat"

Y/n: "I thought I couldn't been seen in public"

Mina: "You can wear a mask and hat, choose what you want. Tell us and go back to the car and wait."

Y/n nodded, and down with her disguise. Picking something to eat, and heading back down. Chaeyoung ordered and Mina head back so Y/n wasn't alone.

Mina: "So um..."

Y/n: "I have something for you"

Mina: "You do?"

Y/n went through her backpack and pulled out 2 cards, and some pins. "They're matching ducks. I wanted to make you guys something but I also got us cute little duck pins. You're my birth mom and Chaeyoung unnie is your girlfriend"

Mina was about to cry, "You see me as a mom?"

Y/n nodded, "I just didn't know how to say it, so I just said it randomly and your reaction to me saying it made me think you didn't like it"

Mina shook her head, "I just wasn't sure if you actually said it, but I'm okay with you calling me that. IF that's what you're comfortable with. I'm okay with it"

Y/n smiled a bit, "Yeah...you may not legally be my mom, but you will always be one in my heart"

Mina turned around, and was tearing up. This was all she ever wanted to hear. She looked at the little duck pin and just started to cry harder.

Y/n started to freak out, so she climbed to the front and hugged Mina, "I'm sorry"

Mina shook her head and gathered her breathing, "I'm just happy. This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done"

Y/n: "I'm sorry I couldn't get you both anything bigger"

Mina laughed a bit, "No...this is perfect"

Y/n: "One day I will"

Mina: "This is perfect Y/n. I don't need anything more"

Y/n remembered something and grabbed her bag again, "So that's not the only pin I saw. I got this one too. I just wanted us to have matching pins, and the ducks came in a set, so it was perfect for our little family. But I got us another set...well individuals but look-"

Y/n pulled out 3 different pins, one of a cartoon dinosaur, one of a baby tiger, and one last one of a cartoon penguin. "It's our animals, well I couldn't find a dragon, so I got a little dino. Either work"

Mina picked up the penguin, "This is so cute"

Y/n nodded while smiling big, "On the bag I wrote your name. I know you're the only one that's a penguin, but I just wanted to make sure I had everything set"

Mina turned it around and saw her name "Eomma Mina"
