The Long Lost Daughter

Ch.14

After playing at the park, Voyage went out for ice cream. They took a bunch of pictures, some being posted on their Instagram, and others they kept for themselves.

Later that night, Y/n was sitting up in her bed, because she couldn't sleep. She didn't want to wake up Tori, so she moved to the living room. Quietly watching Tv, but that TV woke up Haewon who quietly walked out of her room to not wake up Naomi.

Haewon: "Kid what are you doing up?"

Y/n: "Can you stop calling me kid"

Haewon sighed and sat down, "Me calling you kid has never been a problem these past two years. What's wrong?"

Y/n shrugged, "Daeun unnie calls me sweetie, Narae unnie calls me honey, Naomi unnie calls me child, you call me kid. I'm tired of being everyone's child, I'm not a little kid"

Haewon nodded, "Okay, why are you telling me now? Why didn't you tell all of us this when you felt uncomfortable with it"

Y/n looked at the Tv, before sighing, "I'm not uncomfortable with it. I'm just...lost"

Haewon: "You sound mature for your age. Come here"

Y/n moved closer to Haewon, laying on top of her as they laid on the couch. Haewon stroked Y/n's hair, "Can you explain why you feel lost?"

Y/n played with the button on Haewon's shirt, "I didn't have a mom until 4 years ago. I'm not saying I don't love my parents any less. I miss both of them, but if I didn't run into them, I wouldn't even be here."

Haewon: "But you did, and now you are here"

Y/n nodded, "But then 2 years ago, I left. I came here and all of a sudden I was someone else's kid. Daeun unnie took up the role. All of you did, except for Tori, but then after those two years, now. I find out Mina is my birth mom. It just feels like I'm being passed along, like no one wants me, but in reality it's just a circle"

Haewon: "Want me to explain why you're not being passed around"

Y/n: "It just feels like I am"

Haewon: "Well you're not. You found your adoptive parents, and they let you follow your dream, and they are trusting us to take care of you. You talk to them almost everyday, so they still love you and wish they were here with you. We just look after you since we live with you and you are a kid. You're 12, you're not even a teen yet.

You're still growing and you have years to mature. But Mina is now trying to connect the years she lost with you, but she would love you no matter what. She will take care of you too, I'm sure all of the Twice members will.

You are not getting passed around, you have 2 parents, Twice who are 9 members, and 4 of your members. You gained people to take care of you, you never lost one"

Y/n just held onto Haewon, she understood it finally. But she still wasn't ready to talk to Mina just yet. They both watched Tv until they fell asleep, only for Haewon to be woken up by Naomi.

Naomi: "Why are you both here?"

Haewon: "She had a nightmare, came out here, I heard the Tv, and I came to comfort her"

Naomi: "Told you"

Haewon: "Told me what?"

Naomi: "You have a soft spot for the child"

Haewon: "Don't call her a child, she doesn't like it"

Naomi was confused, and looked at Y/n who was still asleep. "I'll respect that"

Y/n started to move and just mumbled, "I lied..I like it"

Haewon smiled, "You like our nicknames"

Y/n slowly nodded and fell back asleep, Tori was the next one in the room. "I can't find Y/n"
