LANELLE sat in the car with belly while Laurel was driving. They were riding to a place where all the debs should meet each other.
"We're here" Laurel sighed. Belly and Lanelle excitedly went out of the car.
"Thanks Laur"
Lanelle thanked her while she and belly went up to the entrance to get in.
"Belly, Nelly?"
Laurel's voice stopped them,
"I just want you both to know, that if any of you decides you hate it or if the girls are mean or even if the food is bad, you can text me." She told them in a worried voice.
Lanelle wanted to say something but she got cut off,
"And, I promise I won't say I told you so." Laurel continued
"We'll be fine." Belly assured her mother
"Humor me?" Use our code phrase, and I'll be right there." Laurel told them
"Thanks Wonder Woman." Lanelle muttered
"Mom" Belly warned her
"You both remember it from when you were little, right?" She started to rant
"Lemon Jelly Belly and Vanilla Funny Nelly" They all said in sync. One more excited then the other.
"Have fun!" Laurel exclaimed, And then the girls wandered off.
"Hey!" Belly exclaimed while waving at Jeremiah, but it looked like he didn't recognise her.
"Jeremiah", Lanelle spoke out trying to get his attention.
He looked her up and down and his mouth was wide open.
"Oh, my god uh Nelly."
"Wow, I didn't even recognise you." then his gaze landed on belly, "Wow, you too?"
Lanelle sighed, "Tell me the truth. Do I look like a doll?"
"A pretty one" he complimented her but Lanelle was not having it.
Jeremiah raised his hands up in surrender, "Okay, okay, no, y-you look good." He started stammering over his words.
"You look good." he repeated confidently
"Wow, look at that. You can actually be a decent person."
he chuckled " And you can't stop being sarcastic."
Lanelle put her hands over her heart, acting hurt.
"That hit me, right there Fisher."
"Nice to know that you, have a heart." He retorted
Lanelle raised her eyebrows in surprise, "Wow, what's this change of personality, Fisher?"
