LANELLE STOOD UP IN NOT THE BEST MOOD, but it could always be worse. After her arguments with Belly and Jeremiah, she didn't feel like going to the volleyball tournament.

It's for Susannah, it's for Susannah. She kept repeating to herself.

She's a reserve for Taylor as Lanelle's the captain of the volleyball varsity team in her school — so it wouldn't be fair if her and Belly played in the same team since they're both captains but of different schools.

Lanelle wasn't that excited to see Taylor, she just wanted everyone to go away.

For the game the point is to raise as much money as possible, mostly the charity that helps Susannah in any form. Susannah was so grateful that they decided to participate in the game.

Lanelle was only there for Susannah, if there's a chance of playing a volleyball game with Belly — even if she doesn't feel like it, she'll suck it up. Lanelle will do it for Susannah, because she loves the woman like no other.

The girl was in the room with Belly and Taylor, it was quieter than normal.

She felt Belly throw glances at her now and then, desperately wanting to talk to her.

While Taylor confusingly looked between the two, thinking that they've already resolved their conflict.

But Lanelle didn't care, as long as Belly wasn't going to say anything — she wasn't either.

They were talking about how Conrad asked Belly to be her escort to the ball, Belly seemed happy about it.

Lanelle wanted to scoff at her reaction, so she kissed Jeremiah for nothing? This could've all been avoided.

Lanelle sighed as the feeling of loneliness crept up on her, the girls were acting like she didn't exist. Nevertheless she couldn't blame them — Lanelle wasn't being the most social.

As Lanelle was finishing putting her hair up in a braid, Jeremiah came knocking at the door.

"You girls ready?" He questioned, his eyes hardly looking at Lanelle. But the girl didn't spare him a glance.

"Are you ready Lanelle?" Jeremiah continued his eyes not wavering from her figure.

Lanelle hated how he said her name, so lovingly. She wanted him to leave her alone so she only glanced at him,

Belly and Taylor walked out the door making some dumb excuse — not wanting to be apart of an argument.

The girl was struggling with tying the end of her braided ponytail.

"Let me help." Jeremiah offered as he came closer, feeling the need to touch her. He misses her.

Lanelle put her hand on his chest — as she glared at him, "Stay away from me."
