LANELLE WOKE UP, flashbacks of yesterday coming back. She couldn't be in the house right now — because if she saw Jeremiah, Belly or Steven right now she'd scream. And probably say some pretty nasty stuff.
The girl decided to talk to Belly and to Jeremiah today, giving them the chance to tell her the truth. Because she wasn't going to pile this all up, it'd be too much for her.
Lanelle went downstairs and saw Jeremiah, Belly and Steven along with the moms. Since Conrad went for a surf.
"Morning Cruella." Belly joked when she saw her.
Lanelle only falsely smiled at her, as she made her own cereal. Not sparing another glance at Steven, Jeremiah or at Belly.
"You're not going to run away today, are you?" Ilana chimed in.
Lanelle scoffed, "I'm thinking about it."
The room turned silent — no one saying, not wanting to get between the mother-daughter argument.
"I'm leaving." Lanelle announced as she walked to the door.
"Nelly, wait!" Belly walked after her.
"What's wrong, belly?" Lanelle but through the pain of saying the nickname.
"Are you alright?" The older girl began
"Yes, but I just have a question." Lanelle hoped that Belly would tell the truth.
Belly nodded, "Go for it."
"Where were you last night? You weren't in bed."
Lanelle looked at her friend's expression and saw how it slightly changed,
"I went for a swim."
Lanelle nodded a bit relieved that she's telling the truth, "Was Jeremiah there too, because I didn't see him either?"
Belly shook her head, "No, I didn't see him." She lied.
Belly was fucking lying to her.
Lanelle held her scoff in, she wanted to see how long Belly would keep this up.
"Oh alright, so nothing special happened yesterday?"
Belly frowned, "No, why?"
Lanelle was in disbelief at how easily her friend was lying to her.
"Oh maybe because I saw you making out with Jeremiah in the pool, you liar."
Belly's eyes widened in shock, "N-nelly, I'm so sorry."
"Save it Isabel, how could you do that to me?"
"I don't know, it just happened. I wasn't thinking."
