Chapter 10

Leni was spending her time trying not to think about Risa and her love life.

She kept herself busy with work and taking care of her daughters.

She still wasn't sure why what was happening with her friend bothered her that much but her solution was just ignore it and focus on the campaign and her family.

Risa still hasn't talked to her if not for work.

It was safe to say that Leni tried her best to avoid the senator.

While Leni was avoiding her Risa didn't try to contact her that much.

Both of them afraid to say something that could ruin or compromise their friendship.

Leni was in her office busy with papers and their projects. This was her way of coping with all the stress that she was feeling. Rather than think about this she projected her energy to her work.

Meanwhile Risa was also busy with her bills and was stuck in her office trying to finish more work before hitting the road again for the campaign.

She decided to take a break and her mind immediately went to the Vice President. She checked her phone hoping for a text from her but she knew it was impossible. Leni was not that expressive and clingy like her.
They haven't seen or texted each other for days and she hasn't received a single hello from her friend.

She was missing her so much but from the lack of contact between the two she thought that Leni maybe didn't miss her as much.

But again who was she for Leni to text? What was she to her? She was only a colleague and a friend. She also knew that the VP was busier now so she shouldn't even expect her to send her a silly text.

She did think of sending her one herself but for some reason she never pressed that send button.
She was being unfair to Leni. She was still disappointed from the karaoke night because Leni didn't get to hear her song. But it was not even Leni's fault, she didn't even know Risa wanted to dedicate that song to her.

Right then she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" she said and sat up straight

She looked at the opening door and her friend, a fellow politician, came in and greeted her.

She stood up and greeted him.

"Oh, what are you doing here?" She said

" I'm in Manila for some work and I dropped by to give you something" He said

She gestured him to sit down and he sat down in front of her.

"What's that?" She asked

He handed her something and she took it. After opening it she widened her eyes and smiled at him before standing up and hugging him.

"Oh my gosh!!" She said

Leni was with her team because they had to make a few edits for her instagram page.

She gave her okay and they were about to post it when Leni saw Risa's picture at the top notifying her that the senator posted something on her instagram stories but only to close friends.

Leni put a mental reminder that she needed to check it out later.

After her staff left her she opened her instagram page and there it was.

She clicked it and she has never wished more to undo something.

Her thumb was pressing the picture to stop it from moving onto the next.
