Chapter 25

It was their last day in Naga and Leni was cooking breakfast for her daughters. She felt better knowing her daughters now were on her side.

"Morning ma" Jillian said when she entered the kitchen

"Morning Jill" she said cheerfully

"Good morning mother" Tricia said when she got there too

"Morning Trish"

Jillian and Tricia looked at each other weirdly.

"Upo na kayo dyan pa tapos na ito" Leni said

Jillian chuckled and took her phone to facetime her Ate.

"Ate Aiks tignan mo si mama" she whispered when Aika answered

"Anong nangyare" Aika looked at their mom and smiled

"Ate Trish is on board na" Jillian said cheerfully

"Kaka yes ko palang parang nanalo na sya ng lotto" Tricia said chuckling

"Patty thank you, I know it was hard for you" Aika sighed in relief. She knew how hard it was for her sister.

"Ate wag na emo emo dyan, maaga palang at hindi pa ako naka coffee" Tricia said with a grumpy tone

Leni went to the table and placed the food on the table.

"Kaen na kayo" she said and smiled at them

"Hi ma" Aika said and Jillian turned the camera and Leni waved at her daughter.

"Hi Aiks. Everything okay there?" She asked

"Ok lang ma, catching up lang kame ng nga batch mates"

"Ingat ka dyan ah"

"Kayo din dyan ma, I'll call you nalang mamaya at tinatawagan narin nila ako. By the way ma congratulations" Aika said

Leni blushed and the other two laughed out loud.

"Sige na, talk to you later nalang"

Aika laughed and waved at them

"Bye ma, bye bunso and Patty"

"Bye ate Aiks" Jillian and Tricia said simultaneously.

The three Robredos were now at sec Jesse's grave. Tricia and Jillian were cleaning and sweeping some of the petals that fell from the flowers people were leaving in their dad's grave.

Leni was near, looking at her husband's sculpture.
She missed him and she kept thinking about how easy things would be if he was still with them.

*Pa, miss na miss ka na namin. Everyday we're still working to be the kind of people you hoped we'd become and we still live by the principles you believed in*

Leni smiled and crossed her arms

*Okay lang naman ang mga bata, lahat sila tinutulungan ako. Minsan nga feel ko ako na yung inaalagaan nila*

Leni chuckled

*Si Aika, napaka sipag at lagi nya kami inaalagaan, pag minsan na guilty din ako dahil mas inuunahan nya pa kame kesa sa sarili nya. Sana lang mas makaka concentrate na sya sa sarili nya ngayon at hayaan na nya ulit akong maging ina at alagaan sya, all these years alam mo naman na talagang tinulungan nya ako at nag depend ako sakanya sana maka bawi naman ako sakanya ngayon"

*Si Trish, ayon makulit parin. Sobrang sipag nya sa work nya at nakaka proud pag nakikita ko ang dedication nya na tumulong sa ibang tao. Mag HaHarvard na rin sya.
