Chapter 16

WARNING- boring chapter ahead + post elections

After their conversation both of them decided to suffer in silence and just go back to their old dynamics.

Risa was getting ready inside the bathroom while Leni was waiting for her while packing her stuff already dressed up.

It was not going to be easy for them, they knew it, but they were going to try because having the other in their life was more important than any hypothetical relationship.

Leni thought it would be impossible but it surprised her, and also Risa, that they felt more relieved after their talk last night. Now that there were no more hidden reasons between the two there was more understanding and cooperation. Both of them wanting this adjustment to work.

Risa came out of the bathroom and quickly put her stuff in her luggage since she was late.

Leni was sitting on the bed reading a few papers.

"Pwede mo naman ako tulungan" Risa said

"Pwede ka naman magising ng maaga" Leni said still focusing on her paper

Risa playfully glared at her and looked down again to her luggage. A smile on her face.
The same with Leni.

Both missed this and the banters between the two.

Leni looked at the clock and it was time for them to go out. She turned to Risa who just finished.

"Tara na kung tapos ka na dyan, naghihintay na ang staff sa baba" she said and grabbed her luggage before going towards the door.

Risa got up and followed Leni.

They went towards the elevator and Risa was pouting.

"Ang VP ng Pilipinas claiming to be willing to help all the Filipinos pero hindi naman tumutulong sakin" she said

"I can't, sasakit ang likod ko" Leni said with a serious face

Risa uncrossed her arms and smiled at her

"What happened to the lady who wanted to sleep sa floor or crossed the crowd yesterday?" She asked

"I can handle those" Leni said with a smug face

Risa shook her head

"Handle daw, sorry po Ma'am VP pero hindi na abot ng energy nyo ang energy ng mga supporter. Kung maki sabay sakanila kala mo ang bata bata pa" Risa said teasing her

Leni turned to her

"Alam mo ikaw lagi mo nalang ako tinitira sa edad ko, one year younger ka lang sakin senator" she said

"Still younger po" Risa said before exiting the elevator and going straight to the staff.

The two met with their respective staff and went towards their van.

"See you nalang po sa venue Ma'am" Risa said before entering her van.

"See you there Sen"

On the way there the two released a deep breath.

It was all so natural to them but also so unfamiliar. They still have to adjust but they will work on it.

The two arrived at the Women and Leadership forum and everything went smoothly.

Both engaging with the crowd and answering their questions and heard many inspiring stories.
