She grabbed Leni's hand and led her to the couch.
Risa and Leni sat on the couch facing each other. Risa could not stop smiling and neither let go of the other's hand.
"Can you tell me what happened?" Risa asked with a smile on her face
"Hindi ko rin alam. I was planning on talking to Tricia again and maybe do other things just to make her understand how important you are to me, pero after my niece's wedding she just drove me to her dad's grave and she told me that she supports us. Sabi nya si Jess daw wants nothing more than our happiness and if my happiness means having you in my life then we have her support daw" Leni explained
"Jillian and Aika?"
"They are okay with it too but Jillian confirmed it the other night, they're happy daw for us"
Leni smiled
Risa exhaled and squeezed Leni's hand
"My kids are supportive din" Risa said proudly
"I know. I talked to them"Leni said and leaned against the couch with her feet up on the small table in front of the couch. Risa followed her and stayed close.
Apparently for Leni that was not close enough so she leaned more towards Risa to rest her head on her shoulder while holding her hand on her lap.
Risa blushed. It was so refreshing seeing Leni this comfortable and unapologetic with physical touch and closeness
"When?" Risa asked resting her head on top of Leni's and drawing patterns on her hand with her thumb.
"When we came back sa Manila nag text ako kay Sinta. Syempre pag paalam ko muna ang nanay nila" she said chuckling
"May pa ganyan ganyan ka pang alam Maria Leonor" Risa teased
Leni chuckled
"Look who's talking" Leni said
"Nasabi nila sayo?" Risa asked
"Hmm. Thank you for doing that, for us" Leni said snuggling closer to Risa
Risa kissed Leni head
"Anything for you" she said
Leni just enjoyed being this close to Risa, finally not thinking about the consequences and just being with her.
"Kahit cheering for your rivals?" she teased the senator
Risa pouted and nodded making Leni laugh.
They stayed like that for a few minutes until Leni broke that silence.
"What now?" Leni asked
Risa squeezed her hand.
"I don't know pero ang importante ngayon we're here together and frankly I don't care about anything else" Risa said
"What if the rest of the world will try to break us?" Leni asked
"One step at a time. Pero we already went through the most difficult part so there's nothing that scares me now. You and our kids supporting us is what matters to me. If anyone even try to come between us they will have to fight me" Risa said proudly
"They'll fight us. Dalawa tayo in this. Whatever comes our way we'll go through it together"
Risa smiled
"You have no idea how much I wanted to hear you say these things"
"It took me a while but I'm here" Leni said
Risa leaned back and looked down at Leni's eyes
"And you're going to stay here with me. I'm not letting you go again Maria Leonor" Risa
