Wowowowow look at this. Chapter 50! And it's a filler chapter haha. I didn't mean for it to work out this way but this arc is mostly used a filler anyways.

I was watching Jazmine train with Captain Yamato. After her last mission he said her wood ninjutsu still needed refining. That she should have been able to contain the fight without the aid of Rin or Kakashi or Shikamaru. That wood ninjutsu was a powerful gift that she needed to take more seriously. Jazmine of course took more pride in her medical knowledge. She definitely preferred healing over hand-to-hand combat.

"Jazmine focus" He urged and Jazmine sighed as wiped the sweat off her brow.

"I am focusing, I have been focusing for hours and it's not sticking. Can't we just accept that I'm failed experiment?" Captain Yamato sighed and pushed Jazmine off balance. Jazmine stumbled and dropped on her butt before glaring up at Yamato.

"What was that for!?" She yelled.  

"We're not failed experiments. We're people Jazmine." He said firmly and Jazmine fell silent.

"I am well aware of what Orochimaru did to both of us. I'm aware that you might hate yourself because of it but you can't let him get to you like that"

"Then what am I supposed to do? Embrace it? Accept what he did, what he used me for?" She demanded and he nodded.

"Yes, acceptance is part of moving on. Embrace it, train it and when the times come make him regret it." It was silent between them and I noticed Jazmine smile slightly as Yamato looked away. I noticed his eyes look over me before he sighed.

"Let's take a break" Jazmine glanced over as Yamato walked off. Akamaru took this as oppourtunity to run to Jazmine, tackling her in the process. Her laughter made me smile as I walked up to the two.

"Alright Akamaru, let her up" Akamaru backed off and I offered my hand. She wiped her face and grinned as she took my hand.  

"You usually don't interrupt training." She pointed out.

"That's because the last time I did you were training with Lady Tsunade" I reminded as I pulled her to her feet. She snickered at the memory as she patted Akamaru's head.

"Not that I don't like seeing you but why the visit, I thought we had dinner plans?" She asked and I sighed.

"Yeah we're going to have reschedule. My teams been assigned a mission and we head out soon. I just wanted to say bye, you know" Jazmine nodded getting a little more serious. It was always a thought that someone might not come back. It had become all the more real to Jazmine since Asuma-Sensei passed. Normally she'd find out I was on a mission from Lady Tsunade or my mom or sister. I had begun making it a point more recently to tell her personally.

"Who's leading your platoon?" She asked.

"Kakashi-Sensei, it's just a tracking mission. Probably little to no fighting" I assured her. She nodded slightly and smiled up at me.

"Well be careful anyways, you know missions can change quickly and the Akatsuki is still..." I kissed her then before she kept rambling. I felt her smile as she kissed back briefly. Her arms tightened around me as she broke the kiss to lay her head against my chest. I sighed lightly as I stroked her hair.

"Hey I'll be back in no time. Then I'll take you out for dinner and you know maybe we'll luck out and my Mom and Sister will be out on their own missions" She shoved my arm as she stepped back and I laughed. I noticed the blush on her cheeks and a smile on her lips.
