**Authors Note:
Hey guys! So just a heads up I have a lot of projects due right now since it is near the end of my semester. So updates will be a little slower.
Also within the next two chapters we'll be getting back to the main story and proceed with Pein's attack on Konoha. I just need to make sure Rin is somewhat more comfortable being back in the leaf.
Finally another lovely fan has asked to borrow Rin for there story and yes it has been published! I have read it as well and I do think it worth the read. So this story is by Legacy_Of_Naruto and is under the title Naruto: Volume One: The Light and The Dark. If you click the dedication up top it should take you right to their profile! :)
Now then please comment, vote and of course enjoy!

Shikamaru
It was as if the blood in my veins froze. I almost felt like passing out but somewhere in the distance I could hear Choji's voice and a hand steadying me. Rin was alive, Rin was alive and here. She had to have to won. She always won.
"Shikamaru!" I was brought back to reality when Lady Tsunade shouted my name.
"She's staying with Kakashi until better arrangements can be made" She spoke slowly this time, obviously annoyed for having to repeat herself.
"What's in the box?" I asked finally and Lady Tsunade tried to hide her smile.
"The faster you deliver it to her the faster you'll know. I suggest you get going" I took the box from the desk.
"Shikamaru wait, Itachi..." I had all but sprinted out the door. I didn't even consider Choji wanting to come along or any other information. I just wanted to see her. I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life. I nearly slammed into Kakashi-Sensei as I rounded the corner to exit the building. I stumbled as I slid to a stop and we stared at each other, both unsure of what to say but knowing exactly what we wanted.
"She left" He started and I felt my heart sink.
"But Lady Tsunade just told me she came back, how..."
"I mean she left my apartment" He corrected and the relief washed over me as I tried to relax my stance.
"Why?" I asked.
"It's complicated" He admitted, seeming slightly bitter at the situation.
"Well, where is she?" I asked, with a little more force in my voice than I had intended.
"I don't know" He replied, his voice quick and short.
"But she has been asking for you since she came back" He said, his words bitter and maybe even a little angry.
"Do you have any idea where she'd take off too?" I asked ignoring his tone and he sighed.
"Aren't you her best friend or something" He replied annoyed.
"Look I'm only here to report this to Lady Tsunade" He explained and I nodded slightly.
"What If she took off?" I objected and he shook his head.
"No, she won't leave. Not this time"
"She's done it twice already" I reminded but he seemed to ignore me as he continued walking. He stopped when he got to the door but didn't face me.
"Go find her" He replied.
"She needs you" His voice shook as he spoke but before I could question further he stepped into her office. I sighed, slightly frustrated as I walked down the steps. I adjusted the box to hold it under one arm. If she wasn't with Kakashi then there was only one place I could think of that she'd be. I had to take the long way to get there. People started to notice my usual walks to the outskirts of the village and found it questionable. I started to speed up as soon as I saw the compound gates. I had narrowed it down to this place, but the only problem with this place was this it was huge. Huge and empty, so countless places Rin could hide.
