**Authors Note:
Exams and Holidays were so busy it was crazy. I finally had time to finish off this chapter and publish it.
I'm sorry it took so long but expect an update soon! :D
Also again because Rin is still with Itachi I am just touching base and what's going on with the others, just so everyone knows where we are in the actual storyline :)
Please vote, comment and of course enjoy!

Rin
The sealing took days. With fewer members, the sealing required more time. I had been with Itachi for nearly two weeks now. It had to be some kind of record. I knew he had expected me to leave the second we finished the sealing but, even to my own surprise, I had decided to stick around. I needed the training and Sasuke had already gone through with his plan to kill Orochimaru. He was obviously alive and at least when I was with Itachi there was a certain amount of respect for each other. Sasuke, normally saw me as a tool.
"Rin" I looked down at Itachi and uncrossed my legs.
"What are you doing?" He asked and I jumped down from the branch.
"Meditating, it helps me focus" I replied and he nodded slightly.
"You used to that with Father" I wasn't sure that I heard him right, and turned slowly to face him.
"Excuse me?" I replied.
"I thought it was something I picked up from Hidan" He rolled his eyes.
"Like that idiot could teach you anything" He muttered and sat down, I sat beside him and leaned against the tree.
"Father was always first to rise, and you we're normally second. So he would take you with him to the shrine. You would meditate together for hours" He explained and I nodded slightly.
"I don't remember that" I admitted.
"Well once you and Father began having disagreements your relationship suffered." I nodded again and pulled my knees into my chest.
"Yeah, well he wasn't the first" I replied and we fell silent. I realized then that Kisame wasn't around; he must have been making false trails for Madara.
"Why did you follow me Rin?" I glanced at Itachi.
"Why did you kill the clan?" I replied and he sighed.
"Some things are better left unanswered" He replied and I nodded slightly.
"Same here."
"Fair enough" He agreed.
"Do you think you could kill Sasuke?" He asked suddenly and I met his gaze.
"Do you think if I could kill either of you, I'd be in this situation?" I replied and he shrugged.
"Sometimes you're very unpredictable" I smiled slightly.
"I learned from the best" I countered.
"But honestly I don't know. I've never given it a lot of thought. The answer used to be no but after Sasuke tried to kill me I kind of realized I was alone." I explained. I wasn't trying to make him feel bad. I was just trying to be honest.
"You've been alone for a while" Itachi seemed to muse.
"I alienated myself Itachi, I didn't have to leave. I chose to and one day I will pay for that decision"
