Chapter 16

I called Caroline, yesterday. I told her about everything and asked her to come join me in the woods. So I was preparing myself to leave my children. Haïden told me he would make a diversion to let me give the babies to Caroline. At first, I refused but, he didn't let me the choice. Since he know I'm gonna die, he changed. He's always scared and angry. He still shows me love like for the babies what reassure me a little. I worried but can't tell him anything about it. I took both of the babies in my arms and ran in the woods with Haïden. He kissed like it was the last kiss we would give to each other what scared me a lot. He turned around and ran. I ran in the direction and stopped next to a tree. After a minute or two, I heard some noise behind me. I turned around to see Caroline walking easily to me. She smiled and looked at my arms. I put them into her arms and let the tears I was holding, running down my cheeks. I looked up when Caroline asked:

-What are theirs names?

I smiled.

-The little girl right here is Kathy Sylvia Mikealson, and the little boy is Aaron Theodore Mikealson.

-There are beautiful.

-I know. -I took a deep breath- I love you so much... Mummy will never forget you... I'll watch over you every single time! I'm gonna miss you so much. You're both special, strong and amazing, never forget that! But most of all, you are a Mikealson. I know you'll do great things! It's not the end of the Mikealson... Never. Always and Forever.

I kissed their forehead and turned around. I screamed in pain and began to ran without turning back. Suddenly, I stopped when I heard a scream of pain. Haïden! I ran in that direction as fast as possible. There, was a tiny place with a lot of trees. I turned to my left and I stopped breathing. Haïden was standing there, red like a tomato. Behind him, was a teenager from the Salvatore School. Haïden looked at me in the eyes and smiled, before his eyes became transparent when the boy behind him made a movement. Haïden fell on the floor and I felt my heart being tear apart. There, was the boy, with Haïden's heart in his hand. Tears ran down my cheeks as I screamed more powerfully than I ever did. All the people around me flew in the air as they became dust the next second. I felt on my knees and crawled in my boyfriend's direction. I touch his cheeks and tried to find his pulse. I murmured incoherent stuffs before the realization hit me: he was dead. I looked at the sky while I was still crying in pain, feeling my heart being more tearing apart again. I let it all out by yelling. The trees around me flew in the air and fell some meters behind. All of a sudden, Hope and her friends appeared. I looked up at her and saw tears running down her cheeks. Saltzman put his hands on his face while Landon and the twins fell on their knees. Hope sat next to me and I murmured:

-I can't lose all of them Hope! I can't... I lost my children, I lost the one I love... I can't.

She stayed quiet and answered:

-For your children, don't forget that... their mother are the Tribrid, half Unspell Witch, half werewolf and half vampire, their father is a werewolf. And you don't lose them. You'll see them after a while and for Haïden, I'm sure he's waiting you on the other side.

I let tears run down my cheeks. Why? Kathy and Aaron are going to live without their parents. How can we be such bad persons? Hope hugged me and I didn't say anything. I put my hand on Haïden's chest and began to throw a spell. After a second, he disappeared the same way he died. Josie approached me but I walked back, my eyes becoming purple. Suddenly, we heard a big noise behind us. Followed by a scream. Caroline. Without thinking twice, I ran in that direction. After a minute, I saw her fighting with the monster. I came into both vision and let my anger explode. Behind Caroline, was my children. That thing should know: no one touch my family. I screamed while putting both of my hands in front of me and the monster yelled in pain. Everything went purple but I just hold on. After a second, the monster walked back and disappeared in the woods, in pain. I turned my gaze to Caroline who only nodded with an apologized look. She took Kathy and Aaron again and ran. I watched as they disappeared in her car. After a moment I looked back at the others who were watching me with a skeptical look.-Let me tell you one thing, if you try to find them back, I'll come back from death to kill all of you one by one in an awful pain, understand? My eyes went purple at the end of my sentence. I didn't have any emotion. I lost everything. I looked back at Hope and told her:-I have to die to save all of you. Please, don't forget me. I'll watch over you cousin.Tears escaped her eyes but she just hugged me, knowing she couldn't make me change my mind. Saltzman apologized and made me follow him. I arrived at school after a moment. Everyone looked at me with wide eyes, like ''what the hell is she doing here?''. But I ignored everything and continued to walk. An hour later, we called us in a room. I felt tears running down my cheeks what was happening. Haïden's funeral. I walked to the back of the room and waited, standing straight. Saltzman came in front of everyone who was confuse. He took a deep breath and waited for the silence. He sent my a look before he turned his attention back to the ones in front of him:

-We don't know what's happening. You know we wanted to find and k!ll the Tribrid-Unspell Witch... Well as you can see she's still with us and... unfortunately we have to announce the death of some students: Abigail, Martin, Amelia, Sean and Baptiste. But most of all, Haïden.All of the students began to cry as I felt tears running down my cheeks again. I looked at the sky through the window and thought: Haïden, my love, this is for you.
