I woke up as they rolled me into the hospital seeing doctors surround me. "They're going to help you now." one of the paramedics says stepping back as they transfer me from the stretcher onto a hospital bed. "Hello Ms. Castello, is there anyone you want to call to be in here with you?" one of the nurses asks standing near the doctor holding a clipboard. "yes I do I need to charge my phone," I say and she nods getting my phone and taking it to the nurses' station.

"I'm Doctor Torez, Do you to consent to treatment and undergo surgery, it's important we do this soon," she says as they roll me to an empty room. "Yes please help." I say my medicine beginning to wear off.
"We're going to change you into a hospital gown and remove any jewelry," she says as the nurse comes back into the room holding my phone which is somewhat charged handing it to me.

I quickly find César's number calling him. "It's Alyćia." he says giving his phone to his brother. "Baby." Oscar says in a broken voice "what's going on?" he asks sighing into the phone. "I'm in the hospital, In Compton, I think they said King Hospital I need you here Oscar, I don't have anyone else I'm going into surgery soon," I say feeling the throbbing pain in my shoulder.

"I'll be there soon I promise," he says hanging up the phone. I hand it back to the nurse and the help remove my clothes and jewelry. "We're going to put you to sleep and run some test and scans on you then you're going straight to operation." Doctor Torez says and I nod, soon other nurses come in.

They begin rolling me out of the room asking questions. "Are you sexually active, is there any chance of pregnancy?" Doctor Torez asks looking at a clipboard. "Yes." I mumble trying to focus on her as she speaks. "We'll have to do some blood work, we're going to check in case so we know how to proceed with your surgery." She says writing something onto her board. "Do whatever you have to do to help me." I say and she nods, they stop the bed in the hallway putting a hospital bracelet on me before drawing my blood.

"Are you allergic to anything?" She asks and I shake my head no, "Okay we're going to take you in now and put you under anesthesia." She says and I nod no longer having the energy to verbally answer. Soon after they wheel me into an or where an anesthesiologist  places a mask over my face and begins a backwards countdown.
