He looks absolutely livid, I can't tell he's trying to process what I've told him. "Oscar Diaz brought me home and I'm pregnant with his baby I found out while I was in the hospital," I say gripping his hand. "You're pregnant?!" he says turning to me, only reacting to the last thing I had said. "Yes papa I'm keeping it and Spooky doesn't know," I say stepping back giving my father room to react.
"Okay Mija we can finish your senior year online and you can stay with your mom's sister in Glendale, I can't believe you'd be so reckless while I'm gone." he says trying to keep from yelling at me . "We're going to the police, and you will tell them everything and you aren't coming back until this situation is handled," he says looking at me shaking his head clearly disappointed in the situation. "I'll call your school and have you transferred, and a new phone so go rest," he says as we walk separate ways.
I go to my bedroom walking past him in the living room as he sits on the couch getting out his phone. I close my bedroom door sitting down on the edge holding the small bear from the hospital. Waiting for my father to come back and talk to me. Looking down at my phone waiting for something to happen. "Alyćia, come here mija." My father calls for me from the living room.
I sat my baby's stuffed bear down and walk into the living room seeing him sitting on the couch like he was earlier.
"The school thing is handled, and your aunt has an extra bedroom since your cousins have grown up and moved out." my dad says and I nod thinking about how long I'll be gone or if I'll even get to come back to Freeridge. "Well start packing your stuff soon, I'll go get some boxes and your suitcases from the garage," he says as I sit down beside him."It's just for your safety, I don't want to lose you like I did your mom." be says reaching over kissing my temple. "I know papa, I'm sorry for the mess that I've caused," I say leaning on his shoulder. "Your aunt Abeni is really excited for you to stay, and she said she would help you become more independent." my father says sighing as I give him my phone.
"We'll sort this out in the morning, go talk to the police and see what they can do," he says and I nod getting up and going to my room starting to look through my bedroom at all the things I could pack to Glendale. Starting with the closet, pulling out all the clothes I no longer wear, and putting them into a pile. My dad comes back with my set of suitcases and boxes sitting them at the foot of my bed.
"You'll be needing some new clothes once that baby starts growing." he says sitting on the end of my bed unfolding a large box taping the bottom together.
