I put my things down before sitting on Olivia's bed as she puts away her new clothes. "I wanna hear more about you and spooky." She says removing the tags from her clothes. "Don't say it too loud, they'll run me off," I say shaking my head. "So how'd it happen?" She asks hanging up her things. "Well, he would flirt with me a lot, anytime he'd see me basically," I say looking through the bag of clothes I had got myself. "And the other night, when he came to the party he took me home with him." I say shrugging my shoulders looking at her. "That simple huh." She laughs shaking her head and sitting down beside me on her bed.
"Yes pretty much," I say getting a text message from my dad. "Turned back around, I'll be home in a few days given the weather holds off." I read from my phone sighing. Hoping it wouldn't be almost December before he can come home. "What is it?" Olivia asks looking over and I shrug giving her a half smile. "My dad, he's still gone on business, it's one of those long trips." I say taking a picture of us together sending it to him. "He'll be okay." Olivia reassures me before getting up grabbing a box set of movies. "The titanic?" I say and she nods "favorite movie of all time." She laughs putting in the disk before running to the kitchen and coming back with a bag of popcorn.
"Geny said that dinner will be ready in a few hours." Olivia says flipping out the light and jumping into the bed beside me. The two of us lay there watching Leonardo DiCaprio. "Do you think César sees anything in me?" Olivia asks propping her head up in her hands before glancing over at me. "I think he doesn't know what to do."
I say shaking my head cuddling up to a pillow. "We kissed." She says with a disappointed look on her face.
"Him and Monse have been a thing since 8th grade, I think this is one of those times where they fight." I say not wanting to hurt Olivia's feelings. "So I'm just a rebound." She says sighing he hair falling around her face as Ruby's mom calls us for dinner. "Don't say anything to Ruby he doesn't know." She mumbles and I nod as we walk out of them room to the big family size table.
"Oh hey Alyćia when'd you get here?"
Ruby asks sitting down across from Olivia. "About three and a half hours ago." I laugh as he raises his eyebrows and his mom bigs the food over to the table giving everyone a plate and fork.
"Yumm spaghetti." Ruby says trying to break the awkward tension. Olivia and I look at each other shaking our heads as we all get out servings of spaghetti and bread for dinner. Once we all finish eating we help clean the table before going back to Olivia's room.
"Here's some pajamas." Olivia says pulling out a pair of pink tie dye shorts and a cropped T-shirt. "Thanks." I say quickly changing before the two of us get into bed going to sleep.
